Was not really impressed. I would have been more annoyed if I had paid the full (peak season) price. Even at low season prices, it felt overpriced for the facilities and location. It's not very close to the village. So at night its pitch dark and maybe a little dangerous for walking (cars etc coming past or walking alone), so need to get a tuk tuk ideally. Apart from the included breakfast, we didnt eat at the hotel. The dinner buffet was 2500LKR per person, which is quite crazy for Sri Lanka. Not too far towards the village, you can get good food for 400lkr pp, or less. Also the drinks are expensive. 800 for a beer. Its too much for a hotel that is not close to 4 or 5 star.
The pool is smaller than the pictures show (one is a shallow kids pool) and it's too small of an pool area (beds etc) for the amount of guests at the hotel.
The view of the rock is the only appeal for me, but the rest of the hotel and rooms are just average and overpriced. No plug sockets next to the bed, or really many plug sockets at all in the room. So its hard to charge your electronics. Bathroom is small and shower is not very good.
Polite and friendly staff. I think there is better value elsewhere, in a better spot, with cheaper food and beverages
