This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and it's nice. The staff are pleasant with the guests. We did witness a situation where, i believe it was the manager, was belittling the staff who's primary language wasn't English. She was very rude with the staff. The staff were respectful even though they weren't being treated well.

They have done a good job trying to keep this property looking fresh. The breakfast was less than mediocre, but otherwise this stay was great.

I'm sorry for the frustration. Per the Expedia website: "Specific rooms only; pet-friendly rooms can be requested by contacting the property at the number on the booking confirmation". This is coming directly from the "Pets" section the Expedia website. Which is where you booked your reservation. I also went through the details at check in time on the registration slip that was signed by you.

Overall the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice clean area to eat. The problem we had was housekeeping. There was a problem with staffing so they had to do "random" cleaning. I was told this rudely by the weekend evening staff. We had to ask to have our room cleaned. When they did clean, they didn’t wipe down tables and counters. The changed linnens on the third night.

Lovely hotel. Super clean and comfortable. Only one thing I'd note is that there was some sort of dirt under the couch cushion. Not a huge deal, but notable.

Woman at front desk when I checked in at 1am was not friendly. My room was not vacuumed and had a thick strip of dust along the perimeter of the room where a large dead 2” bug was dried up dead in plain sight. I requested a vacuuming the next morning, which was done, but again not the perimeter. Well worn furniture, for the price I’d have expected more in a small town. Won’t stay again.

Property is well kept. Clean. Excellent pool area, especially for kids. Nice coffee machine by front desk available 24 hours. Good breakfast and ample fitness room. Will likely stay there again when back in area.

The Sparta Trail Lodge has consistently performed way above average for us each and every time we stay there. No surprises (as in dirty anything...this facility is SUPER clean! ), pleasant staff, easy location, nice breakfast.

Hidden Gem
We stayed for 3 nights during Memorial Day weekend with our dog. The hotel is one of the cleanest I have stayed in. The breakfast was awesome with alot of choices. The breakfast attendant was on top of everything making sure it was well stocked. Every hotel team member I came into contact with was attentive and very accommodating. The pools and pool area is very well kept. Room we stayed in was in the “pet wing” cause we had our dog with us. It was very easy to get in and out of the hotel through the side door. The grounds are very well kept and accommodating for a dog. The hotel is located on a dead end road with plenty of room to walk your pet. And it’s very quiet! Room was clean, beds were comfy. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful get away!

Bugs!! 15-20 lady bugs crawling around the ceiling, flying around the room. When front desk staff was alerted, she said “I’m sorry “ but no offer of a solution. The traveler at the desk when we checked in was complaining of lady bugs in her room and she got the same response we later received. How do lady bugs even get into a 3rd floor hotel room when the windows don’t even open?!
