Quiet slice of paradise

Posted 12-Feb-2015
Pros: Location, food, and SERVICE
Location: golf, spa, horse back riding, surfing, kayaking, whale watching
My girlfriend and I are 29 years old and were looking for a quiet beach with amazing service to enjoy each other's company and this place was perfect. The service was second to none and the food was amazing. We also liked that we were the youngest people there so there wasn't any beer funneling or annoying kids running around. We went in February and had the run of the place. Anywhere we wanted to be on the beach was free and the best views at each restaurant were always available when we were seated. I highly recommend the Four Seasons in Punta Mita for anyone looking for privacy and impeccable service.

Almost too much staff. A little creepy. Other than that, perfect.

BabyMoon, total comfort and amazing service

Posted 17-Jan-2015
Punta Mita is a very peaceful place. Not only are the beaches gorgeous but the hotel is great. The service is beyond good. They seem to read you mind as to what you need. Little treats througout the day are passed around such as iced coffee, smoothies, fruit, icecream and endless supply of bottled water. The only thing to know is that if you are pregnant the hotel won't allow you to participate in any of the water activities. I know they are looking out for you but mostly they just need to protect themselves of any risks. It was frustrating but understandable. Overall we had a very memorable time at the Four Seasons.

Odd experience - not for us

Posted 16-Jan-2015
Pros: Good food, pleasant staff and comfortable beds.
Massive complex, everything looks the same, way too manicured (you'd never know you're in Mexico, let alone the jungles of PV area), small rooms, and EXTREMELY dated bathrooms. For the price point, much better options in the area. One of the locals said he heard this is what Orange County, CA looked like. Pretty much. Why pay 1k+ per night when you could be anywhere? Not for us.

The property was marvelous. The staff treated us like family. The food at the various restaurants was outstanding.

Beautiful setting, feels like you are one of only a few guests at the hotel. The service was incredibly attentive yet not overly so.

Great resort with plenty of on site things to do

Posted 27-Dec-2014
Pros: The staff went beyond any of my expectations, from the pool, bar staff, and resturants to front desk, to room service and housekeeping
Cons: We stayed at oasis building and it was a good walk back to lobby, and we didn't want to wait for carts,
Location: We only played golf and went to punta mita once for dinner
We took our son and wife and 3 grand kids 19, 19,17 and we had a blast with going to beach to pool, volleyball on beach and basketball, and then a super golf course, we stayed as busy as we wanted

Stunning hotel with stunning views

Posted 21-Dec-2014
Location: About 45 minutes from central Puerto Vallarta.
The room was beautifully appointed, with luxury amenities and a great tub. They had a cake and champagne prepared for me as it was my birthday - the cake was beautifully decorated and scrumptious. The bed was super plush and comfortable. The views from the infinity pool, etc. were stunning. Stunning sunsets. We rented a cabana for a day, and the service was outstanding. Amenities were served throughout the day - delicious and creative...a true delight, and a complimentary 5-minute foot massage was thrown in, which was a lovely surprise. It was my birthday so one of the amenities included a deluxe ice-cream dessert with 4 different flavors, fruit, etc., all served in a coconut shell (which we ate while we were in the pool -the food stayed on the poolside but we stood in the pool). Very creative! Dinner at the Mexican restaurant was lovely - we could see the waves crashing against the rocks, even at night. We ordered room service from the seafood/steak restaurant, and it was delicious. My boyfriend and I went in December, and the ocean was still warm - like bathwater. The only thing that we couldn't do was snorkel - the wind was causing relatively rough waters, so it was unsafe to snorkel. It could've been due to the same weather system that caused the storm in northern California.

Fantastic, albeit expensive resort

Posted 29-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for 4 days/3 nights late Oct '14. Got an off-season special with regular rates plus one night free. Taxes and resort fees took the final price up another $500 higher than expected. Overall, the Four Seasons here is a great resort. Weather was incredibly hot this time of year, but room was very comfortable and well-appointed. Grounds were kept perfectly and beach and pool among the best I've seen. Everything here is expensive. Not as in pricey and worth it, but simply over-priced. For the prices they charge for the stay alone, which are high, you expect things to be on the ultra-luxury side. This said, the service is average for a luxury resort but the prices are at the highest end of the spectrum that I've seen anywhere in the world. Quality of food and drink is very good. Perhaps if the service at the main pool area and golf cart efficiency were better, along with adding adult-only...but as it stands, its nice, but I don't believe quite worth the overall cost unless you have to bring the little ones and have to stay in Punta Mita area. Otherwise, I can think of a dozen other MX locations in Cabo or Yucatan that offer a much better value with same level of service and comparable luxury and food quality. If I really had to come to this area of MX again, I'd try to find something with a better value mix. Otherwise, I'd stick with Cabo.
