Too busy and not enough attention was given to us.Posted 13-Apr-2014
Hotel was busy and understaffed. We felt neglected. Service and brand was compromised due to being overbooked and understaffed. Food is of poor quality and taste and VERY expensive. Our trip was definitely not a Four Season's exp!!

Disappointed for the moneyPosted 25-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
While the hotel grounds are nicely kept up, we feel that the price for everything was outrageous. Quite honestly, we expected the accommodations to be out of this world but they weren't for the money we spent. I will say that the food was above average and the staff was very friendly. If we come back to this area, we will try the St. Regis.

Nickeled and Dimed for Everything! Not worth itPosted 14-Jan-2014
Pros: Kids Club, Gym, Pool Service
Cons: Facilities, Food, Pricing
Location: Nothing that close...
I am a huge fan of the four seasons and we have stayed in at least 14 different properties. The Gold Standard of Excellence for us is the Hualalai on the Big Island. I have no issue paying a large sum of $$$ a night for a room as long as I feel I am getting value. Having said that the entire time I was at Punta Mita I felt I was getting Nickeled and Dimed for everything! Most annoying was that it wasn't quality!!!! At the resort there is a tax on every service along with the four seasons additional gratuity charge. So just add a significant additional cost onto all services and food. Once again if I felt the quality was there I wouldn't be so annoyed by this. The hotel is very secluded so there is limited access to other options for dining unless you want to drive 45 minutes to an hour to get to Puerta Vallarta. You are at the hotels mercy. I also didn't like how the hotel was so large and filled up with Business Groups. The Residence Club and the Lazy River added to the feel of being in a Mega Resort, which is not the kind of place I would chose to stay. The rooms and the hotel building itself were nothing special, for a luxury property. I felt I could have been staying in a Marriott or Hyatt based on the facility. The beach is nice but the water isn't great for swimming- this not being a deal breaker for me. I will say that the Kids Club had some fun activities planned, the game room was impressive and the pool staff were very good! Just overall NOT a good value.

Disappointing hotel, and placePosted 21-Jul-2013
Pros: Nice hotel if you stay in the villas, if not doesn't worth going!really boring hotel and surroundings
Cons: The hotel is too expensive for their offer. The food is horrible, except for the breackfast. Some paths smell horrible full of animal pu...
Location: No nice beach ,nothing to do, and the closest is puerto vallarta, which offers, a casino, one mall and souvenirs streets, not very nice!!
We expected a nice beach and it is full of stones, very painful to walk through the beach. There was nothing to do in the jotel, not even music!! And the area is nit nice, punta mita doesn,t offer anything and puerto vallarta, personally i didnt like it. The beach is only rocks, so it is not pleasant to go.. The food of the hotel is so expensive it worths paying a taxi to take you out to a restaurant. The beds are so soft that my husbband was in back pain for 3 days, and we left the hotel 2 days earlier as it wasn,t comfortable and boring...

Pros: watching the sunset from the infinity pool
Location: a bit remote from the city but it was perfect for those of us who were looking for a secluded getaway!
You may need to splurge a little but it's well worth it!

A Wonderful Get AwayPosted 30-Aug-2012
Loved our 5 night stay w/ Four Seasons Punta Mita! We had a one bedroom oceanfront with plunge pool. So private and perfect size for 2 people -1600 sq. ft. Bahia on the beach was our favorite restaurant, fresh grilled fish, veggies, salads! This our 2nd favorite Four Seasons Hotel as Bora Bora is still #1 with us.

great tripPosted 7-Jun-2012
Pros: location, food, staff and KID'S CAmp
Location: on the beach
We loved our trip to Punta Mita . . . mostly due to the Four Seasons Resort. The staff and grounds were beautiful. Staff so helpful, without being annoying. The location and weather were awesome. We were there May 30th for a week. Where the Four Seasons really nailed it for us was with the Kid's Camp . .. our kid's loved it.

Pricey drinks and foodPosted 14-May-2012
Great place - although everything was overpriced. Drinks cost $20 with tax and gratuity included - so a couple drinks with your date and chips on beach cost $100. Plan on spending at least $500 per couple on food and beverage.
