“Good Stay”
The Hotel Brod was a nice surprise. The service was good and the room cleaned neatly every day. It is an easy taxi ride to the city center (about six leva). The hotel staff set me up with a wonderful English speaking guide for a week of day trips. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Sofia.
“Spot on”
Great value for money hotel with everything needed to make the stay comfortable. The air conditioning was a god send!! Location is a good 45 minutes walk from the city centre but a pleasant walk if you are up to it. Staff were fantastic - so helpful. Breakfast was great - best selection I have come across in a while. Hotel restaurant provided tasty meals - and so cheap! If you have trouble with the sound on the tv in the menu settings fiddle around until you figure out which one controls the subtitles and change the language they are shown in - this seems to stop the buzzing!
“Excellent”
Will be using it again in October on my next trip to Bulgaria. Food is excellent and plenty of it and very resonable. Staff very helpful.

We found the staff at reception very efficient, helpful and welcoming. The room was a good size with air con and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was available from 7am till 10.30 and was extensive - cereals, yoghurts, cold meats,cheese, scrambled eggs etc. fresh fruit - much better than many we have come across!
“Superb hotel”
Friendly staff. Nice clean and modern rooms. Breakfast very good, best I had, lots of choice. Bit of a way into the centre, however taxis are so cheap it is only a few pounds to get there and about 20mins. Great being so close to the mountain, which is quite a climb! Also walking distance from the student area which is good for a few drinks and very vibrant. For the price, definitely the best hotel I stayed in Bulgaria.

“Would definiyely stay there again”
Don't be put off by Hotel Brod not being in town centre, it is on a bus route and taxis are cheap. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean but it is the staff who really make the stay enjoyable. I asked where the nearest shop was as I had forgotten toothpaste and the Receptionist gave me a small tube from the hotel. When I checked out at 4.30am, I was offered coffee while waiting for the taxi and when I left I was given a "breakfast bag" to take with me as I was too early for breakfast. To me those are the things that make a hotel special rather than unnecessary luxuries.
“good value, nice spacious rooms”
The location is a little out of the way, but for Sofia is in a nice area on a main road not too far from the airport. Very good value for money - especially if you want to accomodate children as well. Nice spacious rooms and sofa beds for extra guests. Breakfast is included - nothing much, but fills the gap.
