The hotel is in the center and convenient to Serdica Metro station and taxis to the airport. The air conditioning was operational in October, but not especially effective. The bed was comfortable. If the windows were open, there was a lot of traffic noise, but when closed, none.

The location was good, but the room itself was less than desirable. Widows could not be opened because of location of government buildings next door. That might have been nice to know ahead of time, The HVAC was a mess. No cold air, the controls were wired incorrectly. Turn to the high setting and the fan bllew slowly, turned to the lowest setting, and the fan blew harder. The floors might have been vacuumed, but the stains that were present needed more than vacuuming. Overall I don't doubt that someone had:"cleaned' to room, but it had not been maintained. Breakfast was decent but not over the top. The staff was friendly and willing to allow us to sit in the empty restaurant and charge our phones while we waited to take our later flight out.

The location is very good, within short walking distance of many of the main sights. Staff at reception were very helpful with advice and booking taxis - special thanks to Boyana!

Good location. Near the Serdika metro station which links to the airport and is quite close to the pedestrian walking areas where there are many good restaurant options. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Overall a good hotel.

it's in a good location and the staff are friendly. its clean and reasonably priced. the rooms are ok although a bit tired. I would probably try somewhere else next time.only because we like to try different places.

Wasted money with basic rooms
No parking, overpriced rooms, stains, dirty floors and walls, $20 to eat breakfast??? Impressive if it was 1976, $15 to replace 0.20$ key card :) basically spent your $95 somewhere else.

Room is a bit small, but tidy, comfy, and quite. Walking distances to all major downtown attractions. A hot water kettle would be much nicer. Well worth the price

A gem near lots of sights
The staff were friendly even though I arrived before check-in time. I left my bag and returned at the time he suggested and got checked in. It is located next to a Metro station and near a lot of recommended sights and museums. There was a picture by Mucha on at least the first three landings. If you're looking for a gym or restaurant, you won't find them here, but the location can't be beat, there is plentye of hot water, and the bed was very comfortable.

Great Hotel in city centre.
Great little hotel in the middle of the city, with friendly staff and clean modern rooms. I was very pleased with my selection; the price was excellent value for the location and considering we stayed over the weekend. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great location in downtown Sofia
We've stayed for two nights in early August 2017. The hotel has a great location in the heart of downtown Sofia and was great for sightseeing or doing business in downtown. The stuff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and provided all basic necessities. The interior design of the hotel (lobby and staircases) was unique and inviting to another more romantic time frame. In brief: if you are visiting for sightseeing or doing business in Sofia and planning on spending most of your time outside, this is a great and a very reasonably priced place to stay and I highly recommend.

Buyer Be Aware!
I did not stay due to construction in the area and inability to access by car.I was not advised in advance and had to find another hotel last minute. HOTELS.COM and HOTEL ARTE in Sofia, Bulgaria did not take responsibility and I lost the prepaid one night stay.Both were indifferent to the fact that I had luggage before international flight and could not walk from and to metro station being age 82.I do not recommend using HOTELS.COM or Hotel Arte in Sofia,Bulgaria-they do not inform about current facts regarding property conditions.

Convenient to Sights
The hotel was quiet, clean and close to the Mosque, old baths, ancient ruins, metro, and many of the beautiful sights of Sofia. The staff was very helpful with directions, reserving a tour and securing a taxi for an early departure. Carpet needs updating but otherwise the hotel was clean, convenient and perfect for our stay.

Arte lives up to expectations
The stay was fantastic. Mellan and ha colleague at the front desk were so helpful and did it all with a smile. Place is also so central to all the key attractions. Great value for money and I will highly recommend it.

Great small hotel
Darling small hotel in the center of everything. Enjoyed staying there and want to return. Having a breakfast buffet just made it easier so we didn't have to search for food in the morning. The staff was delightful in helping us get around the city. Good maps. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Many Americans may have a problem with the very small elevators. The bathroom towels were very soft, bed was great. Hit a hot spell and the airconditioning was excellent. I would suggest to female American visitors to dress a bit nicer and don't wear heels. The streets are cobblestone and mixed cements.

Right in the centre
This hotel is very well located. I booked through Expedia, and understood when I made the payment that it included all fees and taxes. However this was not the case, and when I checked out I had to pay an additional tourist tax. An additional problem is that Expedia have abused my email address. They keep sending me unwanted marketing messages. I have unsubscribed four times, but it makes no difference. So I am taking advantage of yet another email asking me to review the hotel by reviewing Expedia instead. I will never use Expedia again as I do not trust them. Should you choose to use Expedia in future, protect yourself by using a disposable email address, and printing everything before you check in.

Very central. Only less then a minute walk to Metro Sendika which you can get a direct Metro to airport. All the major attractions are within walking distance. Supermarket across the Mosque. Cross thru the Metro underground. Room size is ok for me, solo traveler. Very quiet & clean. For the price of a 3 stars, it is quite good.

Close to a major road and Metro Station in the city center. This is a plus for quickly getting around, though if traffic noise bothers you might find it hard to sleep. I was fine. Rooms are small but comfortable, plenty of hot/cold water and being able to open the windows during the day is nice.

Lovely hotel with lots of character
We stayed here room only so can't comment on the restaurant but the hotel is lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful but the best thing about this hotel is the location. It's right in the centre of Sofia by the Parliament buildings and roman ruins. We would definitely stay here again
