I think the bed need a few more pillows and perhaps a sheet and duvet.
The hallway is noisy in the morning for those sleeping. Slamming doors put a slow close fixture on the doors.
It's a good budget hotel if you want to visit Shizuoka and stay cheaply. Shimizu itself, there's not a lot to look at, so have to commute back to Shizuoka on train.
It was a last-minute stay. I knew I could trust Toyoko Inns to be clean, comfortable, new, near the station, and with breakfast. I also liked how the windows open (great for Covid safety).
The room is quite with plenty of space for luggages under bed. Nice and functional room. Close to Shimizu station and Max Value. Wifi was excellent. However there is no cotton-bud and shower cap provided. Breakfast is available, not so good, but ok.
Location is very convenient, very close by Shimizu train station. Room are good size for Japanese standards. Breakfast included is basic but really nice. Staff was very friendly.
Check in is at 4pm, Only if you pay for a Membership of Toyoku Inn for 1500 Yen they will let you check in at 3pm. Kind of odd for that one hour (while your room is ready...)
Overall, the room was clean and very nice. The parking lot was crowded, probably because we went there on a busy day, and the second parking lot was a bit far away.
