I specifically booked a room here because it offered a king bed at a good price. Upon checking in; I was given a room with 2 queens instead. No king was available or even existed. Very disappointed. Room was musty smelling & the in-room coffee maker was covered in dust. Breakfast was very limited. Pool was out of commission and has been for over 2 years. This is the second place in this same town that I will not stay again. Booking agencies & hotel owners/managers must do better.

Arrived at 12:30 pm. No one was there to register a check in. Maintenance person told us to come back after 1. Came back and was told that there was a $15 early fee. Didn’t want to pay it. She told us we could put our things in the room and finish checking in when we got back from our wedding. She took my credit card info and gave us keys. When we came back late at night to finish the checkin, we were told that we had to have a $50 cash deposit. It could not be on the card. We don’t carry much cash. She crossed her arms, stood at the counter and stared at us. We gathered our bags and left. None of these extra fees are mentioned in any reservation process. Very unprofessional staff and property. It’s no wonder there were only 2 cars in the parking lot during early summer in a high traffic tourist destination

The staff was friendly and helpful. No issues whatsoever about our good treatment. Rooms need updating there are rust on fixtures in bathroom andcontinental breakfast the next day needed to be restocked needed to be clean overall disappointing

Convenient location for my BFF to meet. Close proximity to restaurants. I will remember to ask for a first floor room next stay--no elevator. And will also ask for a handicap room--toilet very low to floor--difficult to rise. In the process of remodeling--carpet very dirty and poor workmanship on the repainting

Spend a little more to stay somewhere else.
There were 3 people working at the check-in desk but were only helping one person at a time. There were 5 guests in line for check-in. Attendants were having inappropriate personal conversations amongst themselves and did not welcome or thank any guests at check-in. The room was poorly cleaned and poorly maintained.

Understaffed and unkempt property, no management on site at peak check in hours on a Saturday afternoon, felt bad for the two staff members present. They did the best they could. A management and even ownership change could turn this place around if done soon enough before property further decays and/or staff departs.

We had arrived to our destinationan hour earlier than what we planned. We decided to check-in to our hotel and get all settled in before we went out on the town to look around. When we walked into the hotel, it had a very thick smell of smoke and a spray that was trying to cover that up. The staff was no where to be found. A girl finally yelled from the back, "be right there, I need to put my kid down". The girl came out and first thing she told us was it would be $50 to check-in before 3pm. Not even a hello, welcome etc. We said we would come back in a hour. She said good thing because she didnt know how to check us in. We came back an hour and a half later to check in. The manager was there, her daughter, granddaughter and new employee. They were tkand laughing and not paying attention to the customers. While i understood as a new employee she needed help, it was not the time to be discussing what they were doing that night (outside of work) and the next day. She was not focused on checking us in which in return took us a long time to get checked in. There was no soap to wash our hands in our room and we were told oh well. Checkout was just as bad. Our room was so terribly dirty. There was what looked like blood or pasta sauce all down the wall. We will never stay here again.

The overall experience wasnt good. Pool hasnt been working in 2 year, loud people upstairs walking around right above us who i believe work and live in that room. Many not great things and front desk didnt seem to really care about the noise above my room. Poor customer experience and hotel not in great condition.

Mundane. Well worn, pool not working. 2 tables in breakfast area for the whole hotel. Stained hallway carpets. Drain in tub was plugged. Needs updating. I was motorcycle traveling, alone, so I just wanted a warm comfortable bed at decent price. That it did provide. If alone, I would stay again. If not, I would not stay.

Where should I start? To say that we were less than impressed is an understatement. Busy check in time and overcrowded. People had confirmation numbers and weren’t even given a room. We got a room that was dirty and when we asked the front desk about it, they said the previous customers were arrested and went to jail. So all of their stuff was still in the room. We said our room was dirty and they said it was the only room they had available. The “customer service” receptionist never apologized for the inconvenience. You could really tell that he enjoyed his job…. We ended up driving 3.5 hours home instead of staying. The hotel refunded us our money but didn't offer anything else for their mistake. We will not be staying here again and I honestly hope everyone else takes their business elsewhere! This cannot be the new norm and just be considered acceptable.

Good central location in Shawano. Shower head didn't operate so I was forced to take a bath and the hot tub I wasa so looking forward to, was under maintenance. Breakfast was low tier and exterior doors wouldn't work with key cards yet due to being updated recently.

Needs some attention!
The staff were friendly enough, but things were in disrepair. The entry cards did not work, and a staff member had to let us into our room every time we left it. The ice machine had a sign warning not to use it as it might cause a fire. Although there was supposed to be at least a basic breakfast, there was none. Also the receptionist could not direct us to Main Street.

Very disappointing. My deciding factor in choosing this location was the swimming pool and hot tub. Both were closed for maintenance. Nothing was stated in advance that these ammenities were closed. Also, the inside of the shower curtain was full of mildew. Room 210

Terrible! Don't let the outside fool you. They hotel's key system wasn't work - talk about unsafe! The nighttime manager had you escort you to and from the room to access it. The manager had cracked the door open while we got our bags from our car - someone could have easily gotten into our room. The room was extremely unclean, I didnt even take my shoes off the entire time. The bathroom was falling apart and the bed had crumbs in it. The next morning at "breakfast" the milk was modly! Stay FAR FAR AWAY, worst hotel experience of my life!

I did not feel safe or clean at this property. We didn’t get a key card to our room. We had to be escorted because the key card reader wasn’t working. The worker looked like a biker wearing a leather jacket and jeans. Not professional at all. Walking in our room there was debris on the floor. Clearly not vacuumed. Giant spider web on the curtain. Fan/ AC unit was filthy. Made us severely question if we should just sleep in our car. A hand written note thumb tacked in the bathroom said we couldn’t turn off the bathroom light. Overall felt very unclean and unsafe very run down property. Very unsatisfied with our stay.

Exactly my matter is that this property deceived me. They initially excepted a reservation from hotels.com. At some point following that, they chose to unilaterally cancel the reservation without informing me. When I tried to confirm the fact that I had a reservation two days before arriving, they denied that I had a reservation and insisted that it had been canceled by me. I never canceled it, and I believe that they are completely dishonest and should be avoided by Hotels.com in the future

Weird experience. From someone trying their key in our door in the middle of the night which scared the crap out of us to a young child roaming around shirtless with matches the next. It was a place to sleep that’s about it. Room and bathroom was clean enough but rest of hotel I felt was not. Strong smell of what we think is mold. No water in pool which is not advertised or made known. Workers we interacted with were friendly, though I would not stay again.

The property is in need of repairs from leaking ceilings to stained carpet to holes in walls, trim coming off on doors etc. the upside is the beds are comfortable and our room was quiet.

This was very disappointing. Room was missing a microwave plate, comforter for bed, and the toilet leaked all over. Every time we got out of our room, staff were either complaining about each other or the manager was talking bad about the employees. Their breakfast was a joke, just cereal and a microwave sandwich for an option. The pool has been closed since April. When you walk in the ceiling is brown and leaking, hair balls on the floor, dirt and boxes everywhere. Extremely disappointing for $150. Don’t stay here!

3rd World Hotel
The room had a half clean appearance upon first walking in as there were bits of trash particles here and there. We didnt use the desk chair as there appeared to be sticky spots on it. The window was hanging open as if there had been a forced entry and it's bent screen was laying on the roof outside. Many gnats mosquitos and flys were in the room as a result. The tissue box in the bathroom was empty and there was 2 lotions but no shampoo. Overall it seemed to be a possible party room or homeless person's breakin hangout. However, the bed was very comfortable though it's questionable if the sheets were clean and the air conditioning worked well.

It did not deserve the rate charged.
Smells not comfortable. Carpet was quite dirty. Swimming pool was closed. Laundry room did not have detergent supply and front desk did not have either. No coin exchange available for using coin-operated laundry machine. PEOPLE WERE NICE! But, overall service did not deserve the rate charged, which should include all the unavailable facilities.
