Lovely stay as usual but 2 same re-occuring issues
I have stayed at your hotel 3 times in the past 12 months and i enjoyed it very much.
Service, staff, cleanliness etc very good and the front desk do their best to accomodate your room requests and all staff are friendly and nice.
I do have 2 issues however. They have their own in house Taxi service which is fair enough but 3 times as expensive but they do not give guests the choice to call for their own taxi from outside or even be dropped back to the front of hotel if you do use a licensed Egyptian taxi from outside the hotel.
Other hotels do allow this even with their own in house taxis so it is unfair for guests to walk 100 metres from the security gate pickup/drop off point for outside taxis to front of hotel and is not a nice walk in the heat if carrying bags or Going/Coming from beach or shopping.
I have a mobility ankle problem and painful to walk at sometimes of the day so i like to take a taxi direct from A to B when this happens but I end up walking 100metres to or from Taxi drop off point as security do not let taxis in?
if they are worried about competition to their inhouse taxis then just take the driving License from the outside taxi driver at the gate and give it back when they exit to ensure they haven't picked up a fare from a hotel guest inside the grounds before they exit.
Also they close the pools too early in May, the sunsets at 7.20pm Then and not dark until 8.10pm but they close pools at 6.20pm? keep open until 7.30. is still 28C in evening in May
