“Best Location in Sevilla”

I studied in Sevilla summer '00 and my mom stayed at the Dona Maria when she visited. It was so close to everything...and four steps from the Cathedral/Giralda. She thought it was so charming and loved it. My husband and I went back to Sevilla June '10 and stayed at the Dona Maria. Again, the location is absolutely unbelievable. The view from the top is breathtaking. They have a darling pool, bar, patio, tables on the roof which makes the experience in Sevilla that much better. The rooms were clean. The rooms range from small to decent size. Bathrooms clean and big. Staff was fine...friendly and helpful. Wifi availabe...A/C available too! TV was new and nice. Be prepared for "old charm". Not overly modern in the rooms, but we appreciated that aspect. Love the Dona Maria, especially the rooftop and location. Would definitely recommend to others.

“Can't recommend it highly enough!”

Our stay at the Dona Maria was perfect! The staff at the front desk were professional and very helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and well cared for. The rooftop pool, bar, and seating area are beautiful and provide wonderful views of the cathedral. Don't miss having a drink up there at sunset. That pool is a nice relief from the sweltering Sevilla days in the summer! The rooms (and we saw four during out stay) were clean, spacious enough, and the bathrooms were very nice with double sinks. Hallway/hotel noise was not a problem like it was in other places we stayed in Spain. The price was very reasonable, and the hotel is in the perfect location to reach all important sites in Sevilla. It is right next to the Cathedral, the Real Alcazar, the Archivos de Indias, the Barrio Santa Cruz. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Sevilla!

“Fantastic hotel in a fabulous location”

We loved this hotel. It has historical character, with the comforts of a first class hotel. The location was to die for--right on the plaza of the main cathedral, and steps from hundreds of restaurants, shops, and charming little streets. The rooftop pool and bar were the icing on the cake. One suggestion: it would be a big improvement if they would serve beverages and snacks up on the roof all day. We missed breakfast one morning and hoped to have a coffee and pastry up on the roof, only to find that they didn't open for service until some time in the afternoon.

“Great hotel in Sevilla”

Would recommend this hotel! Family traveling with teens. Excellent location. Rooms were adequate size (as expected), bathrooms modern and clean. Staff helpful. Enjoyed the roof top area to take a break during the day or to have a drink at the bar at night. Room did get warm at night, but couldn't open the windows due to lack of screens.

“Perfect Location”

This hotel is just in front of the most important tourist venues of Seville. Also have a rooftop pool very useful during the summer time (it is reaaaally hot in Sevilla) . In that pool at night, they served dinner under the stars of Seville with the shine of a candlelight and the outstanding view of "El Escorial".

Very comfortable, very classic hotel steps from many of Seville's key sights. A great choice to combine reasonable cost with a great location and a very classic feel.

“great location, great hosptaility”

location cannot be beat, especially for semana santa. Rooftop garden is dreamy. Staff is excellent, knowledgeable and recommend not "touristy places" but really good places, including Legitimate flamenco shows. Our room opened up into an open coutyard and it smelled a bit so that is my only complaints. Also, would like to see the pool filter operational in April-I went for a swim but pool sides were a little slimy.

“location,location,location”

You can not have a better location than this in Seville. The hotel displays tradition and quality. We were originally put on th third floor but due to a party on the terrace it was noisy. When I mentioned this to the manager he immediately re-sited us down to a room on the first floor. I could not have asked for better service. We opted for the breakfast ( @13eros, a little bit steep for Spain) but as it was a full buffet it set us up for the day. My only suggestion for improvement is concerned with maintenance. Several light bulbs needed to be replaced and some plubing fixtures were loose. It looks as if the hotel could do to employ a handyman! Overall our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable and I could recommend the Dona Maria to anyone. This was our first visit to Seville and we were very impressed with the city. If you haven't been why not treat youself to a visit, you will not be disapointed. (note, I do not work for their tourist board!!)

“Very convenient hotel”

This hotel was exactly what we needed. Staff were very helpful and the location was superb. The rooftop terrace is great- but obviously bar prices are higher than normal n a hotel.
