This is a very old hotel. The management has done a lot of improvements over recent years, but the rooms are still “old”. The mattress was nice. The bathroom is small, with no real room to lay things out, but clean. There’s an old side table that could serve as a desk, but no outlets to make it useful for using a computer there, and no lamp or chair. There is no thermostat and the heat seems to be from a centrally controlled system. It was a bit cool, but comfortable for sleep. It really like it’s trying to be a boutique vintage hotel, but having hard time finding a balance between just old, and antique but with modern comfort. The really sad thing, however, is that they used to have a really nice restaurant off the lobby that was a really nice breakfast place, with great food. Now, there’s nothing, as they never reopened on there after the COVID pandemic.
