Good enough , but there are Better
Quick check in, only guest there. ( Low Season) Room small, comfortable bed took most of the area. No hot water from shower. Breakfast consisted of three small pieces of toast, butter and marmalade , one egg and very small pot of coffee, served same everyday . ( included in room rate) nice outdoor patio / garden area. Staff were helpful. Very short walk to the public beach. VERY GOOD Spanish Restaurant directly opposite, called La Lola. They have better rooms and excellent food. Good breakfast there as well

Thank you for your feedback and we welcome you again whenever you pass Port Barton. When it comes to your review of our neighbor we are happy to have an excellent restaurant nearby. However no resort is the same in Port Barton and we all have different style, price and priorities.

The accomodation is pretty nice for a place like port barton which is fairly remote. We had the air conditioned room which was great because of the heat. Its just outside of town. The hosts were very kind and helpful and you get a simple breakfast each morning of toast and egg and a banana. There is no wifi in the hotel and the area is a deadspot for phone reception so its kind of like a black hole. You can get reception on the street out front. But not actually in the hotel complex.

We loved our stay! The property is so close to the beach, and an easy walk to everything. Our little cabin was really comfortable, clean and super cute. The bathroom was huge and very good for the area. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, we would definitely recommend staying here!

I stayed three nights and it was pleasant. It's in a good location, staff is friendly, breakfast is good and the room was comfortable. I would recommend! No wifi and 4G is not available (Globe).

I have just finished a stay of 23 nights. And I only have good things to say about my stay . The business is family run, Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. I need coffee when I wake, and each morning I could here the pot gurgling, The room was simple The towels and sheets were changed and room cleaned regularly. The rate is more expensive than the average in the village, but you can see and feel the difference. Their is no safe or safety box, I am unaware of anywhere having this facility. However the property is accessed by a locked gate and their is always someone watching over the property. My stay was in October, mosquitoes We’re a minor annoyance, nothing major. I saw others use the laundry service offered by Gina, who always returned them promptly. The breakfast is very simple, but I did see Norma, meeting guests special requests, but please give her notice. The choice and availability of various food items is extremely limited in the village. Also be aware WiFi is almost entirely non existent in the entire village. Jerry helped me organise a local sim, that gave some limited help. Thank you. Agnes was always available to help with anything, and ensured I was comfortable . For the purposes of this review I have tried to stick exclusively to Le Cou de Tou. I would advise anyone to research the village of Port Barton before visiting. I would happily stay again! Thank you to all the staff for making my visit special.

Friendly, affordable and comfortable
Family run hostel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Be prepared to walk two blocks to the beach in order to have internet access. The residence is in an internet dead zone. Comfortable and very affordable.

DO NOT STAY HERE
This hotel shares a wall with the local basketball court which is used for all community events and festivals. Music was blasting until 3am so loud our bed was literally shaking and we got zero sleep. Besides that only half the rooms have air con, things were outdated and quite dirty. Not worth the risk of being here the night of an event, which from talking to some people, happen often. Ruined our entire next day as we were both so miserable and tired

We are sorry for your problems during your one day stay here. The local events are a problem also for us and we have complained several times on their music volume and closure time. Unfortunately, they listen seldom to the local establishment's requests. It is also correct that we only have a few rooms with airc-cons but if we had any available at the time of your booking you would have got one. Now it so happened that you booked a Standard room with fan and that was what you got. We put pride in keeping our rooms clean and tidy so we are sorry you found it dirty. We would have corrected it immediately if we had been informed.

Loved this property. Really lovely women that run it too. Only downside is that there was only a fan and no aircon. This was fine once you’d cooled down but not as nice coming in from a red hot day. Still wouldn’t let that stop anyone staying here it’s beautiful. We booked the mezzane room and it was CUTE.

Dirty room and towels
The room is dusty, dirty and apparently was not properly maintained. The linens, pillow cases and especially towels had stains. The place is noisy because of hotel staff and local people drinking and talking loudly at the resto.

Hi Who-ever-you-are, normally I do not respond on anonymous feedback but it is unfair to us not to give us a chance to correct ourselves since we do not know what went wrong. We are constantly receiving points between 7-10 and our guests are in general very pleased with their stay with us. All of us working here, especially our staff, put a pride in delivering a clean and rememberable accommodation to all our guests and we really put effort into correcting our mistakes. But here comes you and totally downgrade us. Anonymously! So either we had a bad room-day or YOU had a bad day. But I can bet it was your bad day that wrote this since we can to recall any complaints from who-ever-you-are whenever you stayed here. Here is a bit of advice if you have this experience again. Approach the manager or the owner and express your opinion directly so the hotel has a chance to fix it. Or stay at home.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating. You should know there is no hot water available, and you do need to go to the reception to ask for additional towels or toilet paper. The rustic walls of bamboo are lovely but do not keep the noise of the hundreds of roosters out all night long. The location was very convenient, just a few blocks from the beach. Breakfast was made to order with eggs, toast, jam, juice and coffee. The neighborhood felt very safe and was easy to find your way around.

My reservation was in the upstair rooms w the mezzanine. The room is pretty small but clean. Only cold shower. I had to transfer to an aircon room due the noise from the basketball court in the back of the building and how much light comes in the room in the mornings. Service is great. Staff friendly. Very simple free breakfast.No wifi

We booked this hotel last minute, and it ended up being fantastic. Locked gate into a beautiful courtyard. Room had all the essentials including AirCon, which from searching around is a bit tough to find in Port Barton. Only a block walk through the small town to the beach. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Cosy place to stay in Port Barton
This place probably has the best facilities in Port Barton for the price you pay. We've seen a few and this was by far the best. It feels great just spending time there after a shower at the end of the day. The breakfast is very basic. The WiFi is between very poor and completely absent, but that the same everywhere in Port Barton.

Great place
New guest house, hadn't been opened long so everything is new. Run by a really nice family. Simple breakfast included. Hosts welcoming and helpful will book you trips and transport and give advice on restaurants and where to visit. We had fan room and as All of port Barton only has electricity between 6pm-midnight ish it still stayed relatively cool to say it wasn't on for most the night. Good location as port Barton is small area. Reccomend it !

10/10. Accomodation value / price regards. Including breakfast. The owners are super friendly and helpful with whatever necessarily. The rooms are better in reality than on the pictures! Locations is also very good with walking distance to everything I Port Barton town.

Nice Place in Port Barton
Stayed one night at this cosy place. Located close to everything in Port Barton, yet quiet. The owners Bengt and Juvy are very friendly, there is nothing that they can't help out with, regarless if it's boattrips, transports, motorbikes or a late night beer.

Ruhig und sicher (trotz angrenzendem Basketballplatz waren während der 3 Nächte, die ich dort war abends keine Veranstaltungen). Tour A und B habe ich dort gebucht (bei Kathleen, nette Familie, die Bootstouren anbietet).

Personnel très agréable et endroit charmant. Malheureusement il n y a pas d'eau chaude pour la douche et cela n'est pas précisé dans l'annonce. De plus il y a beaucoup de bruit (nuit et jour).

Merci pour votre avis. Nous sommes au milieu du village et il y a beaucoup de sons naturels comme des chiens et des coqs. Nous avons aussi la saison de Noël avec beaucoup de fêtes et de musique partout. Nous prévoyons d'installer des douches à eau chaude pour la prochaine saison, c'est pourquoi nous n'en faisons pas de publicité non plus.

Quizás un poco caro para lo que es.
Es un buen lugar en comparación a la oferta que ofrece la zona. Limpio, aunque sin agua caliente y wifi (aunque dice tener la conexión es casi inexistente, es mejor tener un chip de celular). Las habitaciones son un poco oscuras y para el precio que se paga sería bueno tener aire acondicionado al menos. No hay insonorización por lo que se escucha hasta los murmullos del vecino. El desayuno es muuuy simple, pero salva. A nosotros nos gustó, pero hay ciertas consideraciones a tener en cuenta.

bel endroit
trés bon accueil, super endroit, de petits bungalow dans un petit parc sympa, petite chambre mais agréable, l'eau de la douche (froide mais on le savait) avait un bon débit, rapport qualité prix excellent, dommage pas de wifi. effectivement les coqs et les chiens se font entendrent comme dans toute l'Asie.
