Perfect place with sense of security and comfort
Everything was almist perfect and would have given 5 stars if house keeping was also as good as other areas of services. I had to keep reminding the front desk about proper cleaning of the room, especially restocking of complimentary 2 bottles of water. Overall, it was a great one week stay. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was good. All good!

I liked the staff , room ,lobby, furniture, but i had grilled chicken in the restaurant as dinner its fried and very bad tasted and oily i end up eating only bread.

The hotel itself looks quite outdated and old. Stains on wall-to-wall carpets are just everywhere. Breakfast is really poor. Cucumbers are stale, bread all is stale hard. Freshly squeezed orange juice taste reminds a cheap vinegar.

Had a beautiful experience at Sheraton Grand Samson. The staff is great and always willing to help, the breakfast buffet is amazing with numerous selections for everyone’s taste, and the rooms and property are clean and properly kept. I will definitely be staying here next time in Samsun.

Home in a far away land
I enjoyed my time there for the most part. Mainly because it's like a piece of home for me in a far away land. However, there were times where staff made me uncomfortable. The amount of stares and second looks just made me uneasy as a black female.

No advance notice of property ban on taking alcohol to rooms. A ridiculous policy. Also one week later I am still waiting for the 'extras' charged on check-in to be refunded, as no extras were purchased.

Do not leave your car to valet service,they lost our car key and we waited 45 minutes until they found it . Because of this we missed our plane . No apologies from the hotel staff as if this was something usual for them

Great hotel but bad house keeping.
Sheraton Grand Samsun is a very nice hotel, has a great location with a nice view, but house keeping was poor with bad service, bathroom was not clean enough when I check in, and second day they take dirty cups and not bring back, no refill tea and water.

A Good Location on the Black Sea
This is a very nice hotel. The staff was helpful and professional. Overall, the facilities and condition are very good to excellent. The hotel is quiet and in a good location if you have a car. There is a light railway nearby, which would be good if you don't have a car. Parking is under the hotel and free. Upon arrival, the reservation received from Expedia was incorrect. The hotel staff were helpful in putting us in the correct room. There were a couple of items that we found annoying. First the room temperature couldn't be lowered to 18 C. Second, the hot water in the shower was never hot, rather it was tepid to warm. Since it was summer, this wasn't that much of a problem. The room we were in had a carpet that was stained. One of the bathrobes hadn't been changed from the previous guest. Housekeeping made the bed, but did a poor job of cleaning the room.
