“What a find!”

The best hotel we've stayed in for ages. A convenient loction, warm friendly atmosphere, good breakfast, complementary tea/coffee and cakes, selection of CDs/DVDs to borrow and a great spa all combined to ensure a very pleasant stay. We'll definitely be staying again.

“The Best Hotel iN salzburg!!!”

This hotel was by the far the best one we have stayed at in Europe. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind and so eager to help make your stay a pleasant one. The place is spotless. The breakfast is varied and delicious. And the location is perfect if you want to really enjoy Salzburg: everything you need to see is within an easy walking distance. I would definitely return an stay there.

“Great hotel just 5/10minutes walk from the river!”

This was a great hotel just 5/10minutes walk from the river. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very really lovely and very helpful - especially with evening food reccomendations. The rooms are indivisually decorated to a high standard and very clean. The only down side to this hotel, and it really wasn't a huge inconvenience, was there was no lift - old European buildings etc. However, the hotel staff they informed us this is due to be rectified over the winter months. Would happily reccomend this hotel!

“Enjoyed the stay”

The hotes staff was both friendly and helpful. It was close to the old town part of salzburg and that made it ease to walk to shopping and resturants. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Excellent experience”

Very nice people. Got all the help I needed; excellent service. Previous reviews mention the hotel doesnot have an elevator: THEY DO HAVE ONE! Hotel is in walking distance of all important sightseeing areas and shops and restaurants. Good breakfast included.

“Great service and wonderful location”

What a great spot! The hotel is located steps away from the main attractions, yet in a quiet and relaxing area. Although it may need some updating, it was wonderful. The staff was helpful and warm. The breakfast buffet was perfect. They offered hundreds of DVDs -- our daughter was in heaven. The spa was magical. We will certainly go here again.

“salzburg, wish i could live there”

The hotel is well located, excellent breakfest, very clean room, nice staff, my only issue was the bathroom. worlds smallest, when you sit on the toilet your knees hit the door, which is why the toilet seat is wobbly, and the shower can hardly fit a grown man, i dont know how a person of larger size can possibly use the facility, however its salzburg my absolute most favorite place on earth so i really didn't care

“Wonderful!”

We have just returned from a wonderful days in Salzburg. The hotel contributed significantly to making our stay so very relazing. We would hightly recommend it to anybody visiting this beautiful city. We can't wait to go back next year.

“Lovely and Romantic Hotel”

Booked a suite and it was lovely, and a little bit eccentric, based on a Character from Mozarts Magic Flute, Papageno. Hotel staff really friendly and helpful, hotel spotless, breakfast had a wide range of options (except a fry up thankfully) and was very traditionally Austrian. Nice spa in the basement where clothes are an option in the sauna/steam/quiet rooms! Couldn't recommend this hotel enough for a break in Salzburg, very close (walking distance) from all the main sights. You can book excursions/theatre/concert tickets at reception. Bar was nice and cosy and reasonably priced drinks and in the afternoon it serve free tea and coffeee and home made cakes. 15 euro from airport via cab and only about ten minutes so splash out!

“Great for Sightseeing”

Lovely hotel, made very welcome on arrival even though we were a little early - given coffee, pointed in direction of internet. The porter was keen to take our bags to our room - how he managed when we'd struggled from the station I don't know but he had hidden powers and it was much appreciated in the very hot weather! The rooms being across the pedestrianised street was no problem - the room was very comfortable, clean and spacious although a little on the hot side, saying that a pedestal fan had been provided. The location was superb - 10 minutes pleasant walk from Mozart's birthplace and all the attractions. Salzburg truly is a beautiful city with a lovely musical and historical feel to it and the staff in the hotel were extremely helpful in pointing us in the right direction by providing maps and leaflets (and offering to book concerts if we required, without being pushy) and also gave us good information about the bus to the airport. A lovely place to stay - I would certainly go back to the Wolf Dietrich!
