Clean warm room, comfy beds, great location 20min walk into Salzburg. Would not bother with the breakfast it’s €10 for continental but not a lot of selection so not worth the amount they charge, there is plenty of places to eat for less

Location was not good. Not walkable to train station. City center is approximately a 20 minute walk as well. Internet wasn’t working properly. I tried to log on several times but couldn’t. Warm water in the shower turned to cool water within 10 minutes. Breakfast was very skimpy but staff asked a lot for it. (7 euros) I would have to recommend a different property. Although hotel was very quiet. Hotel staff obliged when I asked for a room facing the courtyard.

Hello Harvey, thanks you very much. Walking from trainstation to the hotel 10 minutes and to the city center 12 minutes. All you can eat breakfast cost 7€ this is right. We wish you all the best. Best regards

Hotel Drei
Hotel Drei is a bit of a mixed bag. It is a 3 star hotel but when compared to other 3 star hotels I have stayed in in Western Europe, it feels a little less than 3 stars. Eg. Reception is till 8pm at night and doesn't open until 6am in the morning, the bathrooms and flooring were quite outdated, the towels were old and very tattered, and pillows poor. We stayed four nights and no toiletries were provided until the last night of our stay, which was just 1 packet of shampoo and shower gel (for 2 people). Other 3 star hotels provide a lot more toiletries. The beds were comfortable, however, the pillows were rubbish. They were very flat. The bed is advertised as a double, however, it was 2 singles put together. Im aware this is common in Europe, but I didn't encounter this anywhere else in Europe on my trip this time round. If the hotel advertises 'double bed' this is what should be provided, not two singles put together. The location is ok, you can walk to the Old Town, Mirabelle Gardens etc or catch 04 bus into town. The guy at reception on our last day was nice and printed off our train tickets for us.

Very convenient location to the main parts of town for the price. Only a block from two great breweries. Our bathroom was also recently renovated in an otherwise dated building which was a pleasant surprise.

The location was great, but it was SO HOT and there were no fans in the room making virtually impossible to sleep. Room fans would be so helpful. Also, each day there was one tiny packet of shampoo/body gel per person. It was so hot we needed 2 showers per day. It would be better to have a container in the shower that was refilled so guests were not limited - especially on very hot days. In addition, I tried to use part of my packet and left the other part in the shower for that evening since it was so hot, and the cleaning person removed it :(

Very clean and in a good location, about 10-12 minute walk from town. front desk very helpful. Breakfast is basic but it's only 7 Euro to be fair, well worth that cost. Parking is opposite on a scruffy bit of land and is 8 Euro a night. No air con and a bit noisy at the front with the windows open. We had a great stay here and would go back to this hotel.

Convenient hotel with little thrills
We picked this hotel primarily since we were a family of four and the price was reasonable. It is somewhat halfway between the train station and the center of Salzburg which made it a good choice also. We did not choose their breakfast for 5 Euro but that was our choice, not due to the quantity of food.

A little out of the way, but not bad
The hotel room was average - it wasn't extremely spacious for 3 people, but there were 3 twin beds, and that's more than we could ask for, especially for Europe. The room was outdated, but it didn't bother me too much. The facility is not within the "hotel circle" so it's an extra couples minutes walk, but nothing too bad. Takes about 10 minutes to get to the river, about 20-25 minutes to the Fortress. I loved the bathroom, though. Considering that the room wasn't too large, the bathroom was very impressive for European standard! The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience. :)

The room was cute and comfortable and clean. 15 more min walk to Old Town--very walkable city. The only complaint--the hotel is on a busy street and at times can be a bit noisy.

Run-down hotel with a bad smell
The reasons we ended up staying here: acceptable distance to Old Town, and not overly expensive (~$200 CAD/night in August). Otherwise, the hotel was a disappointment. The room was very spartan (no safe, no AC, no mini bar, no coffee maker, etc.), and the bathroom had a constant smell of sewage (even after we bought an air freshener). Hotel staff were not particularly helpful, and there is no one at the front desk after 8:00 pm. Unless you really don't have any other choice ---- avoid.

A room for three had only 2 chairs but was quite big and I like the part wall between the beds ( the main from the single one) ! Like the bathroom too! Staff on arrival was really helpful - breakfast great!!

OK room, but noisy and poorly ventilated.
Room was very clean and staff was friendly. The location of our room with respect to adjacent buildings placed it only a few feet from other apartments and closed off on three sides. So ventilation is poor even if you open the windows, and if you do you hear the neighbours from the nearby apartments. Also, the blinds did not work properly, and no night stands or reading lamps - annoying if you want to read in bed while someone wants to sleep. Other rooms in the hotel might be better. I am generally disappointed considering the price I paid during high season.

There was no desk clerk after 8PM. Each room key also opened the front door (not very safe.) If there had been a fire or medical emergency by a guest, there would have been no one to take the front desk call. It was not in a pleasant neighborhood and was very incomvenient for tourism. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, and they wouldn't let us cancel our reservation for the 2nd and 3rd nights, after we saw the condition. We understood no cancellation for the first night.

Great, out of the way hotel. Unhelpful.
Location was not as close to the train station as I would have hoped, but the bus stops for the central station and city center were very close. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were helpful. I accidentally booked this hotel for the wrong days and realized as soon as I received my confirmation. I called and emailed immediately and for days afterward to try to fix the situation. They did not answer the phone or my emails for 3 days, only to tell me that it was my mistake and I had to live with it when they finally did get back to me. After over a week (and some pressure from Hotels.com), they finally said that I would be able to make changes with a hefty change fee (per day), by which time I already had to irrevocably change my travel plans to accommodate my mistake. Their slow communication and poor flexibility nearly derailed my entire vacation. I understand the initial mistake was my own, but it was many months in advance of my travel dates and I only requested to push the dates forward by 3 days and add another day.

Had a very bad experience.
The worst experience we had. Never met staff as rude. They thought we don't understand their language at all so they made side comments which are not very pleasant. We will never recommend this hotel ever. If we are not tired from the long drive and not too late at night, we would just cancel our reservation. We had to transfer to a different hotel the next day to feel comfortable and enjoy our vacation.
