“Stockholm Getaway”
Staying in the Archpeligo was delightful, peaceful, beautiful, and the historic hotel is very grand. Buffet breakfast was beautifully presented and featured Swedish fare, but also plenty of options for Americans. Many places to walk along the water, hike, or swim. The swimming pool was beautiful, but the hotel charges a daily fee for using it.
“Relaxing break away from the city”
Beautiful location.Great facilities in the hotel with the spa, swimming pool,etc. for a relaxing weekend away from the buzzing cities. There are only 2 restaurants around. "Aqua" was having a tough day the weekend we were there.But the positive attitude of the restaurant manager made a difference, where many others would-be diners were turned away due to full capacity on the particular day.

Cet hotel est fantastique tant de part sa localisation et la vue dont il jouit , que par son architecture très ancien palace et son service irreprochable, Michaël le concierge est parfait. Et la piscine...
“Would recommend”
Excellent hotel! Very good value of money for Stockholm, and in a very nice location. Quite a long way out of the city but we did not find this a problem as a commuter train runs frequently from early morning until late evening from Saltsjobaden station (directly opposite the hotel) into Slussen. Room was a very good size and attractively furnished with a lovely balcony providing excellent views of the picturesque surroundings. Breakfast was very pleasant and enjoyed being able to eat out on the terrace. Hotel staff were very helpful- we arrived quite late on an out-of-season Sunday to discover that the local restaurants were closed but the hotel re-opened their own kitchen to make us something to eat. Overall was delighted with my choice of hotel and would recommend to anyone who does not mind travelling slightly further to get to the city centre.
“Enjoy playing at being rich in a sparkling archipelago location”
Service was polite and efficient and there was a readiness to accommodate several extra requests we made. The bed and bed linen were both of high quality and excellent standard. Breakfast was almost sumptuous and in relaxed and attractive surroundings. Our water view room was large and well furnished with a charming small conservatory/indoor verandah separated from the bedroom by a marble archway in a wall which created a very pleasant sitting area and visually increased the size of the whole room. A French door opened from here onto a tiny outdoor balcony. Bathroom towels were generous and the bathing experience made enjoyable by the elegance of the room. Overall this hotel provided a pleasing stay for us.
“Delightful Getaway”
This hotel was a total delight. The photo does not do it justice. It is located on a marina and there are many walking trails to enjoy. The train to Stockholm is literally at the front of the parking lot. The food was great and you dine right next to the water. It was a lovely step back in time at a summer resort. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place
“July 2011”
The hotel was very quiet which suited us and enabled the hotel to offer free use of spa facilities, usually £20pp per day. The train is a 30 min commute to Stockholm and leaves every 30 mins. Minimal facilities in Saltsjobaden but it is very pretty and restful. There should be 3 restaurants at the hotel but only one was open but we mainly ate at the very good local cafe (daytime) and the Thai/sushi restaurant nearby after having a very poor quality burger at the hotel. We stayed for one week and the holiday exceeded our expectations but be aware that the hotel is in need of some TLC although parts have been upgraded and are quite impressive. All staff were very helpful and cheerful.
“Lovely peaceful hotel”
A lovely hotel. About 30 mins from Stockholm on the train. Beautiful location with lovely views. Very quiet.
