“Cant wait to go back.”
This family run hotel is literally just across the road from the Rhine River, and round the corner from Assmanshausen rail station. The rooms are simply furnished but the beds and duvets are particularly comfortable. The bathrooms are usually showers and are well equipped with shampoo/shower gel and plenty of towels. The restaurant provides a great continental breakfast and regional specialties. I can recommend the Rudesheimer Kaffe as a perfect end to a meal or a day out. It is "assembled" at your table so there is a bit of theater to the drink. Three of us were traveling together and we were made very welcome by the hotel. We were given loads of information about local sightseeing opportunities. Travel directions and tourist information leaflets were available in English and other languages. This is a marvelous base to stay in when touring the prettiest part of the Rhine Valley. I will certainly be returning!
“Rheinhotel Lamm convenient and very accomodating”
My family and I took the Kohl-Dusseldorf (KD) Rhine cruise from Koblenz, got off at Assmanhausen and spent the night at the Lamm Hotel before heading back to Koblenz. The hotel was extremely convienent, the staff was very helpful and the rooms we booked were quite satisfactory. We were made to feel far more welcome than was the case at the hotel where we stayed at Koblenz, and the hosts spoke pretty decent English. The hotel's restaurant was good (the host convinced me to try the "pig's stomach" which proved to be a lot better than it sounds) and the breakfast (included with the room) was both high in quality and variety. The host also seemed quite surprised by how good a price we got from Expedia.
“Excellent, would stay there anytime.”
This was a great place to stay and I woudl recommend it to anyone. We felt like part of the family. The location and views are excellent. It is in a small town but just a few minutes from Rudeseim by boat or rail. The staff and service is excellent and they took care of all are needs.
“AN ABSOLUTE GEM ON THE RHINE”
We loved this hotel. Lovely views, nice rooms, and exceptional service! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Dinner was terrific. This was our favorite hotel on a 2 week trip. The breakfast was the absolute best that we encountered.
“Great views of Rhine River”
The hotel was perfect for us. Right on the Rhine with great views and personal service. The only problem was the shower head would not stay in postion. This is a small hotel in a small town. If that is what you want, it's perfect.
“Germany 2012”
Very friendly, very typical German Mom& Pop style comfort. Absolutely loved it! Location was superb..downtown Assmanshausen with excellent access to Rhudesheim via the chair lift, seil bahn and boat.
