Historic property on beautiful grounds with waterfall and fishpond. Convenient dinner dining in house and a lovely Continental breakfast. Family-owned property and very reasonably priced. We'll be back!!

The room was lovely and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The shower in my room barely worked however, unless there was something I missed about how to operate it? It was great to have the restaurant right onsite in the hotel. The grounds were in tough shape, granted recent weather was not helpful either. It was Easter wkd., so my thinking is flowers in the foyer or by the front door would have really been lovely. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

Beautiful historic hotel
Lovely hotel in a historic section of town. Spotless!! Our room was surprisingly large. Continental breakfast was good. Our one issue was noise from the downstairs and landing comes right through the historically accurate doors so it was difficult to fall asleep. The man at check out was very helpful with directions to our next stop.

We have stayed here about a half dozen times. Always a great visit. We have stayed in several diferent rooms and all are exceptionally clean. The people who work there are very nice and always want to make your stay a good one. The Restaurant has great food. Never disapointed. We will be back in 2024.

The Property has history behind its walls. I stayed in the adjoining house 3rd floor. Room is large,with a lovely firm mattress and plenty of pillows. Kitchenette,Micro and dining table. Large comfy couch and chair and a desk type unit with chair. Room is very clean. Enteance to building has a large function room in DR with L R area for gathering. Next door is the Inn with dining rooms and bar. You can hear other ppl below my room mumbling, and ppl walking up stairs Which were very loud at midnight. All in all come stay..its gorgeous in summer, and very New England in the winter. Thank You Governors Inn..nice get a way place.

Our room was very nice. Their restaurant was excellent! The Inn had a lot of charm. However, the King bed mattress was very hard to sleep on, so didn't sleep very well. Otherwise, good place to stay!

great stay
Great stay. Stayed at the Governors Inn for a UNH football game. The room was clean and LARGE. We checked in at 1000pm and left at 800 am but the room was amazing and so was the staff. I know it was not a long stay in the room but it was large with a sofa and chair along with a large bathroom. Very clean and relaxing!! Second stay and heading back in May.

I loved that it was not a chain hotel. It is unique and charming. Staff was great. Food right there and I had a feeling of being home. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. This is our second stay and I hope we find a reason to visit again in the future.

Quaint Place
Easy to check in, front desk was amazing. We had an issue with travel plans and they were quick to accommodate our needs. Nice quaint home in good condition although the bed could use a new mattress. The restaurant downstairs was very loud but we could hardly hear it from our room.

I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet it was and the staff was very friendly. The only negative I have to say is there was very light hair on my sink and on the toilet seat, almost as though the clothe that was used to clean had hair on it and it was left behind. Other than that, I felt the room was clean and the sheets were crisp, the AC was quiet and I would definitely stay there again.
