“phenomenal experience”
This place is extraordinary... We spent there 8 days/ nights immediately after school break; relaxation is absolute... We did not even go Playa del Carmen... Take boat trip inside their property !
“Paradise in Mexico”
The resort and it's staff couldn't be any more perfect. To a person, the entire staff was extremely helpful and professional. I especially liked how the Rosewood assigns a personal bulter/ major domo to each suite to address all of your needs during your stay. As beautiful as the property looks on-line, it's even better when you're there. If you're looking for a quiet, very relaxing/rejuvenating vacation, I couldn't recommend it more highly.
“One of the best resorts I've been to”
This place is a true five star hotel. The service, staff and maintenance was above our expectation. We were traveling with an 18 month old toddler, and we felt right at home. The hotel is secluded but yet very family friendly. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the car with complimentary margaritas and escorted to our room on a boat where a butler was waiting for us. There was also a complimentry bottle of tequila in the room with salt and lemon! Most rooms have private plunge pools & loungers in the back, which we loved and used every night. The beach pool also has a kids club with an attandant that has games/video games for kids and they do crafts. Complimentary water, icecream, sunglass cleaning and drinks by the pool were another small touch that made the experience that much better. The rooms were cleaned twice a day. By that I mean full cleaning. We were really impressed and LOVED this service. When they came for turndown service they would clean the entire room again and fold all clothes, empty trash, etc. Now if this doesn't make a hotel 5+ stars then what does! Overall, one of the best resorts we've been to, and recommend it to anyone who's going on a romantic trip or with a family. It's expensive but worth every penny.
“One of the best luxury resort around Caribbean!”
Very friendly staff, family-oriented programs as well as a couple in a very luxury environment. A small pool in each suite is an extra-helpful when you have kids.
“Mayakoba - Rosewood”
I've stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba, been to the Riviera Maya 6 times, Cancun 5 times, and have a lot of experience traveling. You could say I'm the travel agent for my friends and family, as I know how to pick good hotels. Just being honest folks.. I went the Sunday after Thanksgiving for 4 nights. I always rent a car, as I we enjoy driving into Playa Del Carmen every other night for dinner. Plus, on Expedia, you can LOWER the cost of the trip by renting a car. Not for everyone, but we enjoy driving. So the resort was EMPTY. i will be sure to travel this week again, it was perfect. Maybe 18-20 guests that week? I can't comment on service during a busy week, but this staff was unreal. Just perfect. We spent the mornings at the beach, afternoons at the main pool. On 2 days...we where the only ones! Food: Good. Service: Perfect. Rooms: We where offered many upgrades, but chose the original Deluxe Room! the outside shower can't be beat, and our location (304) was perfect. The beach is way to far, and the rooms on the lagoon side aren't as nice. Save the money, stay at a regular room....it's just not worth it. If you need to be on the beach, your going to give up convenience, your call. The spa was insane...they lead you on paths through the mangroves to private villas....my wife and I had a glass wall overlooking the lagoon while we had dual massages. AMAZING staff at the spa. I'm going back, 100000%. But I'll only go when I can get a good deal.
“Rated a Top 20 Resort in the World and It's Well Deserved”
From the boat ride along the lagoon to our room, to the impeccable service, fine food, amazing views, and general looking after of all of our needs, this resort will truly make your stay along the Mayan Riviera a memorable one. We visited several other resorts during our stay, and while some of them were nice, none compared to the feel and general attention to detail that the Rosewood had. And the service level was noticeable brighter and cheerier than anywhere else as well. You will not be disappointed.
“Superb location and service”
The service in this hotel was wonderful and makes the entire experience there special. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The grounds are spectacular, the beach and pools are terrific. The food was excellent and the tequila bar was great. We are definitely going back.

“Wonderful!”
Outstanding experience - service was great - Victor, Frank, Gabriel, in fact everyone there was as service oriented as we have ever seen. The room was beautiful - very private, large, outdoor shower was wonderful, daily nespressos - the list goes on and on. Beach club was very nice - went snorkeling off the beach and the reef was better than we expected. Would recommend highly.
“A beautiful oasis”
The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The service was excellent in every area we visited, particularly the restaurants. This is a quiet, relaxing destination so if you are looking for active nightlife, it is not what you are looking for. Be sure you visit the spa and the "Tequila Library"! The room was fantastic. The grounds are a little bit spread out, but they are beautiful with wonderful landscaping. Quiet golf carts were constantly running for those who wanted a ride, but the walks were so pleasant that we never rode in the carts.
