Numerous daily activities, such as beach volleyball, tennis, and adult-oriented games, are included in the rate. Also on site are five restaurants, including a snack bar and grill, six bars including Suki and El Arrecife, and a disco.
A gym, Ping-Pong table, and tennis court are provided. Clothing-optional areas include an oceanfront swimming pool with social activities, a private white-sand beach complete with beach umbrellas, towels and direct access from the property, multi-couple infinity spa tub and lounge with wet and dry bar, and what is dubbed the Sensuous Play Room (couples-only access).
The business center provides high-speed Internet access, fax machine, and printer (surcharges for all). A logo shop is on site.
The on-site health spa with sauna and steam room provides more than 15 services, including hot stone massage, seaweed body wraps, aromatherapy, and a couple's package, which includes massage, Kama Sutra kit, and a bottle of wine served in a candle-lit spa tub.
Like all major Mexican hotels, the resort is equipped with a water purification system. Free parking is available (only during stay).

Desire Resort & Spa All Inclusive offers 114 guestrooms with earth-tone tile floors, ivory walls, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Beds have ivory bedspreads, mirror-tile headboards, sheer canopies, and floor-to-ceiling ivory columns at the foot of the bed. Etched-glass wall sconces provide romantic lighting.
Rooms have either a balcony or terrace with two chairs and a small table, with views of the resort's tropical garden, or of the blue waters of the Caribbean.
Satellite TV offers interactive menus, CD players are combined with alarm clocks, and minibars are stocked daily with water, beer, and soft drinks.
Private bathrooms come with showers, bathrobes, and slippers.
Irons and boards are provided.

Melange Lounge Bar - Open-air lounge where guests can sip cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere. 24-hour bar service and late-night snacks. A selection of pizzas and baguettes can be enjoyed overnight.
Nude Jacuzzi Lounge Bar - Roof-top, clothing-optional venue features a 30-person spa tub finished in Venetian Tile. A circular, tempered crystal 'see-and-be-seen' open-air shower adjoins the spa tub, offering a 360-degree view of the lounge. Open from early afternoon to early morning.
L'Alternative Disco Lounge - Includes the private guests-only, couples-only Sensuous Play Room. Open from late night.
Coconut Bar - Beach/poolfront bar with extensive selection of refreshments and cocktails, with spectacular vistas. Open midmorning through the afternoon.
Il Piacere Cocktail Bar - Popular for pre-dinner cocktails. Open evenings only.
El Arrecife - Serves daily breakfast buffets. Theme dinners served buffet-style four nights a week. Dress code: casual. Reservations not required; closed Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Tentazione - This venue serves snacks and grilled specialties during the day. For dinner, it serves Italian cuisine six nights per week from early-evening to late-evening.

The beachfront Puerto Morelos location provides ample sunning and swimming opportunities (with clothing-optional areas), and the All-Inclusive room rate includes non-motorized water sports and games such as tennis and Ping-Pong. Scheduled daytime activities include beach walks, stretching and water aerobics. The property also features direct access to a private white-sand beach complete with beach umbrellas and towels. The on-site disco, L'Alternative—with optional daily dress themes such as Lazy, Lingerie and PJs, and Masquerade—opens late in the evening with nightly contests.

“An erotic getaway.”
We had a blast at Desire. The resort is lovely, and the staff charming. Our first room was by the driveway, and in truth, terrible. We moved the next day and the room was lovely; exactly what you see on the website. Ages for guests ranged from late 20's to a couple in their seventies, with most in their thirties and forties. Food was average to good. Some meals were very good, some tasteless. The Japanese resturant was our fave. It was fun being in an overtly erotic ambience. Nude or provocative dress was the order of the days or evenings, and people dressed up even more for disco theme nights. Yes people swing, and are overtly sexual, but there is really no pressure to join in or anything like that. The beach is fairly nice, and the snorkling trip was awesome. While not required, if you tip even small amounts, you will receive stellar service. Overall a great stay at a fun, intense, erotic resort.

At the risk of sounding like most of the other reviews you will read about Desire: We were very nervous about what to expect, this was our first vacation at a clothing optional resort, but we felt at ease within 1/2 hour of our arrival and the rest of our week long vacation was amazing, We actually had to cancel a reservation we had made for days 6 & 7 at another nearby resort (we thought we would need a couple of days to relax/recover after 5 days at Desire) and extend our stay at Desire because we were so impressed with the overall experience. We are not in the lifestyle and NEVER felt any pressure to do anything we weren't comfortable with. The service is excellent, the resort is beautiful and the guests that we met were some of the most friendly, open minded people we have ever met. In our opinion, these are the features that set Desire apart from the other resorts we have stayed at. We won't bore you with the details about the Disco, Play Room, Hot Tub and the Lobby Bar that you've already read about, but they lived up to and went beyond the expectations we had. If you are an open minded couple and are looking for an exotic and sensual vacation experience, put your fears behind you and book your trip at Desire - you won't be disappointed!

Where to start? The hotel is awesome if you are into a wild naked time!! The room was right on the beach but not that fancy like some others I have been in. However, the resort is sooooo fun and the disco and hot tub are a blast. Service is the best I've seen and I've been to lots of resorts. The people there were from late 20s to 50s with a pleasant surprise that most were quite attractive. We are a very inshape and attractive couple and were quite pleased with how others looked. I can't say enough about how great it was and we are going back as soon as I can save enough money. Most of the couples we met had been there several times before so that should tell ya something.
“First (but definitely not last!) trip to Desire”
Just got back from a vacation where we spent 2 nights at Desire (10/23 & 10/24). We are pretty open people as-is, but Desire was an awesome experience. For anybody worried about being pressured into anything, I could not see that happening. If anything, I would have welcomed a couple advances for playing with other couples. Best things about the resort: - Room was small, but very cute, and we didn't spend time there except for sleeping anyway - The main restaurant and Japanese place were both great. Didn't try Il Piacere - The lobby bar is a great social area, both before and after the disco (and the pizza is perfection at 2am!) - The disco was SO much fun. My girlfriend and I loved dancing the night away - The swinging beach beds are a great alternative to the pool. - The attitudes of all the guests - so much fun to hang out with so many open minded and fun people - The PLAYROOM! Whatever it is about having sex in front of other people, count me in. We were both pretty drunk, and usually that means no big O for my girlfriend, but she was exploding, which lead to a nice O for me soon after. Disappointing things: - Would be nice if the pool area was bigger and could accommodate when the resort is at high occupancy - I was told after my trip on a forum about Desire that you need to get up to reserve your pool chairs starting at 7am, so please do this if you really need to be by the pool. We'll definitely be back. It was an incredible experience.

“best vacation, never been so relaxed”
Loved our stay there. We had quit going to all inclusive resorts due to poor service but Desire Resort was excellent, really made us feel they were there to serve us no matter if it was the beach, the bar or one of the restaraunts. Beach was wonderful and the palapas definitely the way to go if you want to relax. Our room was not fancy as we booked the cheapest we could get but it was always cleaned and we were more than satisfied with the maid service. Our fridge was always stocked and ashtrays were emptied. We ate at the buffet most nights and always found the food to our liking. We did try the japanese themed restaraunt and it was amazing! Some very tasty dishes and a nice change. Our first time at an alternate lifestyle type resort and we chose not to participate in any of the extra activities going on around us. It was obvious that some were interested in meeting us for only one reason but we had no problem talking or socializing with others even though we didn't participate in the lifestyle. Lots of friendly people, especially the staff. Good food, good service, nice beach, fun evenings with lots of entertainment options. Basically all the things that one looks for when searching for a place to go. We have been to every island in the Caribbean and been to Mexico a few times. This is the only place we have stayed that we really want to go back to and have already begun to plan a trip for next year.
