"Property was clean and staff friendly. Beds comfortable as always at a Hampton. Had dining in hotel which was convenient. A noisy hotel in lobby and eating area with loud music and lots of people socializing, but room was quiet. Great stay."

If you have connecting flights or pick ups near the airport this is a good place to stay otherwise I would go more out into the suburbs.

Get up to Poas for sure- beautiful views on the mountain. Consider staying at Poas Lodge and Restaurant- great hosts and delicious food! La Paz waterfall is good too. Take in all the landscape and views of Costa Rica.

We didn’t spend any time in the surrounding area. Got dropped off at Berlor by a taxi, and taken to the airport the next morning via shuttle. There was a loud rooster very early in the morning, but we woke up early for our flight anyways.
