“le meilleur boutique hotel de rio”
Service aux petits soins et amical Situation idéale sur ipanema et puis le bar et la pscine sur le toit le tout dans une ambiance relax une vraie réussite à la hauteur des prix facturés
“Only if you want to brag about spending a lot”
For an extremely expensive hotel (in a very expensive city) my experience was somehow disappointing. Yes, the decor is chic and trendy, the views from the rooftop are spectacular and there are even some pleasant surprises in both the service and the infrastructure, but it is clearly not enough bang for the buck. I expected more, a larger room for example (yes, I know this is a boutique hotel), and certainly better cuisine. Breakfast was standard, I was surprised the food quality was below par.
“god is in the details”
When you pay the price they charge at a hotel like Fasano Rio, you expect Excellence at every level. Lets start with the description of the room, a courtyard view means you are looking at a cement wall. Booking a taxi cab the night before to go to the airport at 615 am means that the cab may arrive at the cab drivers leisure anytime around 630. To have a bite to eat at the hotel means only dinner at the fanciest restaurant in town (reservations impossible) or room service. I guess I should have expected the cheering crowds waiting to see the starlet that chose that hotel that night. But I guess I am being picky. But since I paid a lot of money, I guess I am entitled to.
“Hotel Fasano”
The hotel Fasano was a nice hotel.Dissapointing is unless you get a suite there is no bath tub only a shower after a long flight from the USA I was looking forward to a relaxing bath. The one thing I really enjoyed was the roof top pool until unfortunately one of the staff got rude with me this was the second time one of the staff was rude however the guest relations apology was so sincere that I had to accept and they went out of their way to ensure the rest of my stay was enjoyable special thanks to Daniella in guest relation and Paula one of the manager both of these ladies came to my room to personally check on me an offer me an apology. The other thing that was quite nice was that they had a tent on the beach and provided the guest with a lounge chair, umbrella, towels and cold water that was most enjoyable. The chef should be complimented the food was excellent. The Hotel Fasano also offered their guest a 15 minute complimentary massage. I think the Fasano fell just short of being a luxury hotel they have some of the amenitities of a luxury hotel but lack that personal touch I have experienced at hotels like Dromoland Castle, Villa Crespi, Shangri La Sydney, Shangri La Tokyo these hotels knew my name from the first day I checked in. They checked in on me daily to see what I need I didnt have to seek them out and ask them. Once The Hotel Fasano incorporate this concept then they will truly be a 5 star hotel as for now they are like a small hotel with big ambition.
