I have to say complete disappointment. Stayed RM 208 - had to change room at our request on the 2nd evening the room was overwhelmed stench of rotten eggs the 1st. night we slept with the patio door open, the 2nd night we ask to be changed, the bathroom looked as if it was not cleaned, tubs looks like from 1970. Moved to a new room on the 4th floor only to be met with a tap in the shower that runs without stop , could not sleep. Next day at 9 am, the jack hammer started directly above our bed, scared the hell out out of us out of our sleep. We finally called after this noise would not stop about 11am, and was told they are renovating and this noise will continue daily from 9am-4pm.
I asked , why did you move us directly below the renovations, and was told by the manager, there is nothing they can do. Would I like to check out? I asked to go where over the Christmas holidays . I was told I could check for rooms at another hotel...
So disappointed in Marriott. I have used this Hotel brand for decades, and have never ever had treatment like this. I have never found the quality of the hotel health and safety, so poor, bath tubs in either room looked not washed and sanitized.
The manager needs to be trained to better offer solutions, to issues for guests. Offering for us to check out with no place to go is not a solution.
I was so exhausted leaving, not a pleasant place to be at all .
I did take pictures and videos and recorded the noise of the jackhammer
