Great little cabin to stay at on a long camping road trip, friendly staff and convenient location. Cabin had everything even a little kitchen.

This lodge is off the beaten path up a long scenic winding road. The conditions were very snowy, but we were able to make the drive with ease.

All in all, it did the job. I was meant to have a different room that became unusable and they had to switch me to another available room at the last minute, which they were communicative about. I’ll start with the pros: The location was good and there were very few options, so I was appreciative of having a place to stay. The restaurant across the street doesn’t look like much but it was delicious! The cons: the mud outside the cabin made it very hard to get our stuff out without getting pretty filthy. Then inside they had a small hand towel on the floor for us to wipe our shoes on and take them off. The carpet was a bit dirty already so didn’t feel great about walking around in my socks. The bed was like a pullout couch from the 1960s - my feet were raised above my head when I laid down in the bed. The lights were mostly bright white/almost fluorescent, which made everything look pretty harsh. The TV didn’t work, the bathroom was freezing, and there were holes in the curtains that kinda creeped me out.

Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Nice seating are with the recliners. Electric heater kept the room really comfortable. No extra roll of toilet paper :(

Moosehead lodge is a great place to stay. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. My only issues is that our room was very cold. They did bring us a portable heater which did help some. The heating unit on the wall was broken. Other than that it was great and I will definitely come again.

Property had a really nice feel about it - whilst older, care has been taken to present nice rooms. We were upstairs which I wouldnt recomnend for anyone really tall or not good at climbing stairs (internal lodge stairs were quite steep).

We absolutely loved the cabin we stayed in. Clean and inviting! It snowed during our stay and we loved watching the deer roam by.

An absolute “Diamond in the Rough”. We stayed in room 16 (king size) which was spacious and inviting. Upon checking in the warm and welcoming lady at the counter answered all my questions. If you path takes you to Rangely, CO, consider this hotel as your stopping point.

Nice home town place
The owners were very nice and the place was clean. I would stay there again. Rangely is a small town like the one I live in so was not expecting a modern Hotel. I like that is was not a large chain.

Fun, little, well-decorated lodge. Rooms are a bit tight but you can’t beat the peace and quiet. The cabins are very cute from the outside too.

Fun place to stay. We stayed in one of the cabins. We also spent some time in the spa and hot tub - nice and relaxing. We were right next to the road and there was quite a bit of traffic noise, but we did enjoy our stay.
