Plantation at Rainbow is amazing. Have stayed here lots of times and it’s always nice. The staff are lovely and the beach is 3min walk. Located in The heart of Rainbow beach it’s a great place to stay

The unit was not what we would consider to be clean at all. Overall I would say it was tidy but lacked attention to a number of areas. In particular the upstairs terrace. It looked as though that area had not been swept or cleaned in quite some time. Almost half of the lights in the unit were either blown or not working, in particular in the Lounge and Kitchen area, the walls and windows in the Lounge area and stairs leading upstairs appeared to have been ignored in the cleaning process completely and floor did not appear to have been mopped with visible foot tracking through the main areas. In the wake of COVID we are especially conscious regarding overall cleanliness of our accommodation choices, which made this unit all the more disappointing. In addition, the entire unit was without any soap. We enquired at reception for some soap, however were advised they were currently waiting on a back order and offered us some extra Shampoo instead only to realise there wasn't any of that in the office either. She said housekeeping would drop some over in the morning which also did not happen. Given hygiene is currently more important than ever I wouldn't have thought it too much of a stretch for the resort to have purchased some from the local IGA to put into the rooms which we ended up having to do ourselves. We have contacted the resort directly with the same concerns to which we acknowledge that they have apologised and will address issues with their staff.

We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Resort, great location on the main street so close to the beach, surf club playgrounds. There are a few things in the apartment which could easily be improved - replace the old, lumpy mattresses pillows on the beds, provide hand soap for guests, and provide a new clothes air dryer which isn't rusted through.

This is our 4th stay at the Plantation, the rooms were clean and tidy and very well kept given our last stay was 4 years ago. We had a family of 5 stay for 2 nights and everyone enjoyed the accommodation.

The Hotel is really lovely and we (2 couples ) thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights there. It's a great location and handy to everything. Just a couple of things. The roller blinds in the bedrooms were quite dirty and the main bathroom has nowhere to hang towels. The en-suite bathroom had a hole in the wall where I guess a hand towel holder once was. Quite minor things but at this level of accommodation I think they should be attended to.

We really loved the resort. The room was spacious and clean and had a great view. The second living area was great for the kids. The staff were also really friendly. The only improvement would be the bbq as it was difficult to start.

Had a 3 bedroom ocean view apartment which was very roomy, well equipped and looked straight out over Rainbow Beach. The staff were excellent. Unfortunately on our afternoon arrival the sun deck on the top level of the apartment was being pressure cleaned. We were advised that it would be quickly finalised but then realised it needed far more work. That resulted in us not being able to use it and experiencing the residue landing on our balcony below,. Rather unfortunate as it is top class in most respects. Full marks to the manager who apologised and offered us an extra night at no charge. Would have no hesitation staying there again !!!

Great central location, close to the beach. Good size, spacious, open plan bedrooms. Kids loved the decent size swimming pool. Only negative was that there was no milk in the kitchen to make tea/coffee. But the property is very close to shops so wasn't a big deal.

It had good amenities view was great. Staff were friendly. But in my opinion apartment could have been cleaner. For the cost there were certain things missing like breakfast condiments. Cushions on chairs on deck they were hard. It sometimes is the little things that are missing that can make the difference between a good stay and a great stay.

Amazing view, no need to leave the apartment
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a balcony and roof top deck. The view from the balcony and the roof top deck was amazing. Cooking facilities in the apartment were great with a stove, oven, microwave and BBQ. It is close to local shops and there are a few parks close by for the kids to play.

Overall we were quite disappointed with this property. At just under $2,000 for 4 nights our expectations were quite high and certainly not met. - there was not enough linen supplied for number of guests (1 towel supplied for 4 people, no tea towel, no bathmat, hand towel or washer for 2nd bathroom) - cutlery and cooking utensils were not clean, everything had to be washed up before we could use it - apartment required a lot of maintenance - front door didn't close properly, sliding bedroom doors kept sticking, marks and scratches on walls, toilet door was not hung straight and kept hitting the wall, knobs were missing from light control panels - bbq facilities were unusable, plate was dirty and all rusted - not all of the lights in the apartment worked And worst of all, our apartment was right next door to the local hotel. Noise from there kept us awake until all hours of the night. There were some good points such as: - overall design of apartment was good and there was plenty of room - self contained kitchen generally contained evrything we needed - property is in a great location This definitely didn't meet our expectations or give great value for money. We would not hesitate to visit Rainbow Beach again but we will be lookong for different accommodation options.

We were delighted with our accommodation and facilities at Plantation Resort. Straight across the road from the beautiful Rainbow Beach, our view was awesome. The pool and spa are very well maintained and placed well within the resort to be easily accessed by everyone. Our barbeque was clean as was the unit which is very spacious and cool. The bed is very comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. All in all, a fantastic stay for three nights, we would love to have stayed longer and will definitely return when we can!

Family break
After walking with my son for five days, we met the rest of the family, wife, fiance, daughter and boyfriend at the Plantation. Great spot, beautiful apartment, facilities were everything we needed. Used the kitchen, dining and BBQ all were great. Comfy beds and nice toulets. All little bits were supplied, soap, shampoo, dishwashing etc. Definately would stay again.
