“Extremely relaxing”
Close to everything, yet not in the heart of town. Beautiful canapes and drinks before dinner a beaut way to unwind after a busy day.
“Queenstown Delight”
Warm, inviting hotel a few blocks off of the main street area which made for a quiet nights stay. They offer wonderful appetizers and wine from 6-7 pm in the sitting area which is nicely decorated. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice intro to Queenstown!
“Excellent Hotel, Superb Staff”
Modern, trendy hotel. Very clean, excellent condition. But, the staff really sets the hotel apart, as they were very helpful with sightseeing and hotel recommendations. Would highly recommend this hotel.
“Great place to stay in Queenstown”
Great small hotel just 5 minutes walk from the busy centre of Queenstown. Very Comfortable and modern and owners very helpful and kind. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
“Excellent stay in Queenstown”
John and Donna, the proprietors of the hotel greeted us warmly upon arrival and our wonderful stay in Queenstown kicked off from there. The hotel is hip and modern with excellent service that is comfortable with itself. From early evening canapes to the excellent sky lights in the bathrooms, this isn't a hotel to miss.
“Fabulous hotel in fabulous Queenstown”
Beautiful hotel, wonderful bath, and really comfy, comfortable beds. The afternoon wine and appetizer reception is superb -- nothing stingy and gourmet food and wine. Donna and John are wonderful managers and hosts, and John makes the best flat white coffee I had on our entire vacation. He even laid out an itinerary of the Gibbston wineries for us. Absolutely recommend and can't wait to go back. Everything from the temperature of the room (a big deal for my husband) to the decor to the water pressure in the shower to the service of everyone on staff was spot on.
“A home away from home”
I've travelled all over the world and I've never experienced the level of service offered by John and his wife. Nothing was too hard. After walking the Milford Track John brought my wife and I a glass of wine each and some canapes - how good is that. Absolutely brilliant in fact. When back in Queenstown I won't stay anywhere else. Thank-you John.
“Fantastic and Romantic!”
My Husband and I booked this hotel after reading all the great reviews, and they were right on. The hotel is in a GREAT location, we walked everywhere in Queenstown. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms amazing, but more importantly, the furniture and decor was so cool and comfortable, modern but not cold, romantic but not flowery. The breakfast was AMAZING! The staff super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
“Friendly staff, beautiful but sterile rooms.”
Very friendly staff, but hotel room design is so fashionable it is sterile. Sort of like those model homesyou see in architect magazines. Pretty but unlivable. Cold bare floors. Super cool bathroom sink had just tiny place to set things down. And is a toe banger as well. Bathroom light switch on bed controls, ( I guess for safety.) No light above toilet. And while rooms very clean room maintenance was lacking. Room safe battery was dead. HVAC heat was not working and sink stopped up. Staff did fix promptly though. Nice kitchenette area.
“beautiful but noisy”
This hotel is beautiful and designed with special touches, but it is on a busy road and we were woken on the hour thoughout the night by noisy passersby- such a shame. Attention to the 'sound shell verandah'with a shutter might help!
