Fantastic room, well equipped bathroom and small kitchen and very comfortable beds. Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Amazing view of lake from the room and veranda. Easy 15 min walk to the Queenstown centre.

On a very commutable distance to town and clean bathrooms & rooms with fresh linen.. the reception desk girl was also very welcoming as she offered a hot tea on arrival as a welcome tea also ask for handling baggages in-spite of having a construction on site they’ve managed very well. Beds were comfortable but the showers were terrible. We had come back from a 3 day walk and wanted a shower and the hot water ran out in 5 minutes!!

Hi Sarah, I appreciate your feedback. All our rooms have hot water cylinders of 140 litres & generally that's enough for four people but if you take a really long shower then it will run out of hot water. I hope you will understand this.Hope to see you again.

We had a family stayed in this unit who cooked fish & the smell was quite strong that's why we were not able to give you the room on time as we had to spend more time in cleaning the kitchen so the smell could go away. Nice place overall. Would recommend as a budget hotel with a great view. Can walk to town if you want a but of a walk. Or drive and park.

Overall pretty good
Friendly staff. Good location. Beautiful view, butveiw was hampered by all the scaffolding. Parking would normally be great, but currently the painters are taking up the car parks. I would recommend this property for couples or business people.

We have also placed an order for new curtains along with new furniture for all the rooms which is underway. The scaffold will also be coming off in couple of weeks more & then our property will look great & all the guests will enjoy the best views of the lake & mountains from their bedroom. First the good points: There is a good lake view and the one employee who seems to do everything is polite and tries to help. There are a number of issues though. I booked a twin room specifically as it has a balcony but the room does not have one. I queried this but was told this is what I had booked. As I had prepaid there wasn’t much I could do. Other items in the property description not available: guest laundry, satellite TV, daily room service, reception is not manned but you have to call - expensive for international travellers. This was the most expensive and poorest accommodation in my three week tour of New Zealand.

Great views! Be ready to haul your bags upstairs if your on second or third level. Room was nice and newly remodeled but the air conditioner didn’t work. It was hot so we opened the windows and listened to the traffic noise all night

The hotel looked ok from the outside, but the room was great and the location is excellent. I loved the view of the lake from the room. I would highly recommend staying here.

If you are not fit or have a disability this is not the place to stay! Partner slipped on steps Place being upgraded but surrounds suggest a building site empty paint cans and gardening tools left outside,along with Tape over windows Lack of Tea and reply from staff not what you would expect especially when I could purchase from local supermarket myself

The scaffold has been taken down & all our rooms have been freshly painted & is looking great. We are now in the process of refurbishing the rooms which will take few more weeks but i can assure you all these things once done will give our guests a lot of comfort. We liked the view of the lake, the room was clean and tidy. we didnt like the lack of anyone in the office if we had queries or wanted brochures. Our room wasnt serviced with clean towels on one of the days.

This facility should be rated as a low level motor camp batch. It advertised the room rate as including breakfast but the facility does no provide breakfast as we were told on arrival. I wanted to depart straight away but their conditions for refunding are non existent, you cannot get a refund once booking is made. The place is old in poor repair and does not have lifts or escalators. All units are at least up one flight of narrow exterior stairways, some units at level 3. There is no cover trying to get to your unit in the rain. They will assist with baggage, but getting up and down the stairs if you are older can present a challenge even without luggage. The paintwork was peeling in our unit, the bedding was stained, the room service was basically non-existent. Had to ask for the dish wash liquid to be topped up, the salt was never checked, the bed was not made up at all professionally, and sheets were not changed in the 3 nights we stayed there. The upholstery on the dinning chairs was repaired with black masking tape, no two curtains were the same material/colour and the small bathroom curtain was rotten and would not slide along the rusted runner. The main viewing window was cracked right through the middle and temporary repair with cello tape, quite dangerous and the latches for that window broken. The cook top was portable but we never tried it. No double glazing, would have to wonder during winter. One light switch was covered over in cello tape.

only good thing about this property is the view things wrong, broken window sellotaped up, filthly electric jug, power points loose on wall, no lights none worked except bedside lamp, shower head kept falling down so it hung rather than stood up for showering, tiny room, bathroom a shocker, shelves barely hanging on wall. tv couldnt change channels, even though batteries were fine in remote. would never stay here again, no one around when we left to tell them about issues. for same sort of money there is way better in town, web page is not correct pics sadly

First trip to NZ
Love this place. Property is within close proximity to Queenstown city centre, eateries, and Gondola. You also get to enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Wakatipu every morning when you wake up. Motel Manager is extremely friendly and helpful. Made us feel at home during our four nights stay in Queenstown. Highly recommended.

Loved this place, right on the lake. Close to everything but far enough away out of the business district. The room was fantastic and access very easy. Short walk to the picturesque lake side. Totally recommend this motel

The hotel was not able to accommodate us even after the booking was confirmed due to the time lag between hotels.com and contacting the hotel. The receptionist was extremely helpful however and tried to find us somewhere to stay but there was nothing available in an hotel that we could afford. Car parking is also an issue when this hotel is full.
