It was a great stay. Staff was very nice. The only issue I had was the front desk closes at 8pm for check in. Other than that it was great, room was clean, bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet.

The Sherwood Inn was very convenient to the airport - just half a mile away. It’s an older hotel/motel with not a lot of bells and whistles but it had a clean bathroom and 2 comfy beds in a warm room. As I told my husband, it has a ‘man’s touch’ - kind of bare-bones but adequate for a one-night stay within walking
distance of the airport (if you don’t have a ton of luggage). We did take a taxi to the hotel when we arrived at 1:30am (it cost $30 to go 1/2 a mile!). When we arrived there was a note that told us what room we were in and that we could check-in in the morning. We walked to the airport in the morning to pick up our rental car. We liked the small-town feel of all that. The price was right too. We would stay here again.
Inexpensive and super close to the Airport. Friendly staff.

Hotel offered airport shuttle but I could not reach them to arrange while I was travelling. I had to pay $25.00 for a cab for a .5 kilometer ride from airport. When I asked the following day about it they just said we close at 8. They did drive us back to the airport to get our rental car. Were given a ride in the front desk person's personal car.
Arrived at the hotel after a long day of travelling not knowing if we actually had a room to find a note taped to the window inside the "lobby" for me telling me what room I was in and that it was unlocked. Anyone could have gone into that room before we got there.
I do not recommend.
The staff was excellent and so helpful with my late check in and were welcoming of my dog. My room was clean (except for the build up of mildew behind the toilet) but is a little worn and dated. There were lots of useful amenities in the room. A Kitchenette that also included a hot plate. BUT the smell of food from other rooms was strong and a bit unpleasant.
Room was clean; no shower fan so got really steamed up and floor was squishy; AC wasn't working well; did not stock coffee every day

Basic room
This was a very basic room. Not much room to get around the bed. Hot water didn't work most of the time, and there was a lot of noise as sound traveled relatively freely throughout the structure atleast from our room we could hear plenty of loud banging noises and other noise i wont mention from adjacent room. Too much for my liking. I would likely go somewhere else next time.
Could not find the lobby and paper with name and room number posted to window. Room was open for me as I was late check in at 9:30ish. Room comfortable and clean.

Not Very Inviting
First off the hot water you had to waite OVER 2 minutes before you got any. Not able to use electric heat. Gave me a electric heater to heat the place. Not able to call front desk ( No phone in room) Mattress very uncomfortable Furniture very old.( 50 look). I would say it is a low class hotel. Would not recommend.
Room was satisfactory, however it is in need of an update. The bathroom showed signs of water damage around the bathtub and there was rust all over the radiators. The couch looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time and the ceiling had some cracks.
I was there this past weekend during hurricane Lee. I wanted to go to the dining room to feel safe with others but was told his day was done and he was closing. We had no hydro or back generators. I demanded to stay in the lobby at least and was joined by some others. I have never experienced a hurricane so was concerned. This hotel had no plans for there guests for such an occasion.
Called for a late check-in and this was no problem. The owner drove me personally to the airport in the morning. Short stay and it was exactly what I needed
verry difficult to find - lack of advertising or signage on main roads - local drivers verry inconsiderate and impolite for non/local out of province and unfamiliar drivers
The room was very dirty and dated. The chairs were uncomfortable. There was almost no cutlery. To say that it’s a kitchenette is being very generous. The air conditioner is very noisy. The bed was very uncomfortable. On the morning we were leaving, we couldn’t shower because there was no hot water. Everything is done on the cheap. The one positive thing I could say is it’s a great location both to downtown Charlottetown and the beaches. Would NOT recommend this motel!
