This beautiful turn of the century farmhouse style home is both spacious and cozy and is perfect for those who want to escape into the past with modern comforts. Located in Picton, the largest community in the County, the Ashton House PEC is within steps to Picton Harbour, walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants and the Crystal Palace fairgrounds. It is also a short drive to some of the County's best wineries, breweries, shops and beaches, including Sandbanks Provincial Park.

This four bedroom, two bathroom home is great for gatherings of friends and families. Large common areas, a fully equipped kitchen, back deck, BBQ, hot tub and plenty of green space are perfect for creating lasting memories.

The Neighborhood:
Prince Edward County is a very special place. You may find yourself here one weekend, falling in love and moving permanently, a large number of people have. Affectionately known as "The County" the area is comprised of small villages and hamlets scattered amongst farm fields and quaint shops. Located in Lake Ontario you will fall in love with the people, the food, nature, and art. The area hosts 3 provincial parks and over 800km of shoreline.

Getting Around:
Visiting Prince Edward County does require your own vehicle. There is no public transit or Uber in The County, although we do have a number of taxi companies and car for hire services.

Absolutely fantastic
Hands down the best place we've stayed as a group of 8 friends who goes away annually together. Beautiful and spacious inside and incredible backyard and barn. Walkable to great spots on Main Street. I'd book again for sure!

This property is beautiful! We were so thrilled when we arrived. There was no wifi and that was a bit of an issue for us - it rained during our stay and we had teens with us. As well, a fuse blew in the back so we were unable to enjoy the backyard during our first night when it was not raining. Support came to try to fix the wifi and TV set up at the end of the rainy day - it took several hours and were unfortunately unable to fix it. I assumed we would get some kind of compensation for the inconvenience and was surprised to be asked to do this review.

Amazing stay for a weekend wedding!
We stayed for a weekend at Ashton House for a wedding we were attending at The Cape Mansion. What a beautiful place! We were 6 adults and absolutely enjoyed our whole weekend in Picton! The backyard is amazing, the barn is fabulous, we had everything we needed and there is air conditioning! Is was especially hot and humid this weekend (about 90% humidity) but we were very comfortable indoors and enjoyed listening to records and watching Netflix before going to sleep. We gladly recommend staying at Ashton House and would definitely tecommend it to anyone!

Lovely Weekend Stay
We were a group of 4 girlfriends staying here for the weekend and we enjoyed it so much! The house is spacious, super clean and thoughtfully prepared for guests. We LOVED the outdoor space including the barn with games, the yard and hot tub. It was conveniently located on a quiet street near restaurants and shops in Picton. Can't wait to stay here again!

Nous avons été charmé par cette maison historique qui avait tous les commodités pour notre confort sauf pour le lit double au bout du corridor qui aurait besoin d'être changé. La petite grange a été un grand succès pour nos match de ping pong et nos souper en famille, les 2 vélos très pratique pour faire le tour du cartier. Nous avons eu à communiquer à quelques reprises pour des choses de base qui était manquante tel que le savon à lave-vaisselle, les linge à vaisselle mais les réponses ont été rapide. Je recommande de changer la poignée de porte qui est très difficile à ouvrir avec la clé. Un système de serrure électronique serait plus simple à utiliser. Une dernière recommandation serait d'avoir un guest book imprimé et bien à la vue en arrivant. Nous avons eu à chercher plusieurs informations. Les permis pour le parc était fourni avec la maison ce qui a été très apprécié, ne pas oublier de réserver vos accès sur le site du parc 5 jours à l'avance. La maison est bien situé à quelques pas d'une belle petite rue avec restaurants boutiques et à 15 minutes en auto de Sandbanks.
