Thr room wad nasty, floor was soaking from the air conditioner to the bed they brought up 2 towels to dry it up the sink fouset was way loose that moved back and forth. Diffrent paint colors all over.Smelled like weed in the the hall way and outside.0 out of 10 do not recommend..Stay away..

This was the sketchiest hotel experience I’ve ever had. There was a woman visibly on “something” screaming at her phone right outside the back door. She followed us in and I thought she was going to attack me from behind. Then at the elevator two guys, one carrying a baby, passed and made lewd comments and talking about the beer and pool party. Outside our room all night there were people yelling down the hallway cussing and it felt like a halfway house and not a hotel at all. We left very early when I felt the drug addicts were asleep because I didn’t want to leave my room for fear of my and my son’s safety.

Hotel is fine for the most part. Newly renovated, so that helps. Bathroom shower could use updating. Room smelled musty upon entry. On the downside, we were on the 1st floor and the hotel is VERY NOISY!!! Little to no insulation between floors so we could hear a kid running around above us for hours!!! People staying here obviously are not concerned with the amount of noise they make or how it affects the other guests. If there would have been another option for a hotel in Portsmouth, we would not have stayed here.

They have an indoor pool, which is great! The staff was so nice. Jamie, the housekeeper, was extra sweet. She got us whatever we needed. And the girl up frontwas extra nice, she had blonde hair and glasses. The tv is hard to get to work, but the blonde up front came and got it to work. (It just needd on inout 3). Great overall experience. And the brrakfast is good!!

The staff was outstanding! There is a train that runs across the street that may keep some people awake and the bathroom did have a funny smell. Overall a very quiet and pleasant experience. I would stay here again.

Everything seemed really clean and put together till we went to check the beds and found bed bugs in one room. We asked to switch rooms and they gave us 2 new rooms. We check them too to bottom and found nothing so we decided to stay. About 3 hours later we found a bed bug in one room crawling in the tv stand. Very dissatisfied that 2/4 rooms had bugs.

I’m not sure where to begin…the fire alarm went off two mornings in a row, false alarm both times. There was not hot water in the sink or shower. The floor was dirty. We stayed 3 nights and no one cleaned our room or emptied our trash. The doors on the side and back of the building were only locked from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. The towels all had stains on them. When we asked for clean towels, we were told they were clean, just stained. The fitted sheet on the bed was stretched out and wouldn’t stay on the bed.

Roaches Needs deep cleaning everywhere Windows looks as though they haven’t been cleaned in a while All light fixtures had a layer of dust on all of them Spider feces on ceiling Sheetrock missing in bathroom Floor was dirty Pool and hot tub area had stained mold on edges and filter hasn’t been cleaned recently Fire alarm went off both mornings after 8 for several minutes as if to wake us up and get out Staff was friendly Breakfast was good and fresh along with fruit

It was an okay stay. Most of the tv channela didnt come in and the shower was either. Warm or ice cold and then it would change to scalding suddenly then straight to ice cold. The pool was okay but looked a little cloudy and the hot tub could of been hotter. Overall it was a place to aleep which is all i needed so it was fine.

The place was very noisey and poorly run, very dirty and the breakfast bar was dirty and badly stocked and very limited selection. Had 2 day stay in mind,but left after one day.They need some correct supervision and inspection.

The room was very clean. The staff was great! Especially Rebecca in the breakfast area!" She was super friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravey, waffles, cereal, yogurt. On the negative side, the walls are THIN! You can hear every noise. We were in 305 by the laundry room. We could hear people and the dryer. We heard the neighbors shower at 5:30am and heard anyone in the halls talking. The air conditioner is an older unit and although cooling, came on and off all night. I really wanted to like the place as the pricev was great, staff was super and the room was clean. But honestly didn't get a good night's sleep.

The location of the Super 8 was convenient and the price was reasonable. The property was clean as well as the rooms. My only complaint is one of the towels in my room was dirty, stained, Yuck! It really grossed me out.

We went on Friday September 29,2023 our room had mold in the tub the “hot tub”was like a warm bath. The swimming pool was cold and had minor girls hanging all over older men. We said something on Saturday September 30thto the front desk girl Brianna she was really rude. We asked for a refund she was beating on the keys of the computer and told me numerous times to shush. There was other people complaining about their rooms as well. We told her at 8 am Saturday about the air conditioner she said well I cleaned that room yesterday and it was ice cold in there but I’ll call maintenance. The air conditioner shut off constantly. The “hot tub” has the trimming off of it on the inside. Just a horrible place to stay.

Very nice place
There are not a lot of hotel options in the Portsmouth area. I am so glad we chose Super 8. Although an older hotel, it is updated nicely. Very clean. The staff is excellent, friendly, and ready to assist in any way. It is easily accessible from hwy23 or Scioto Trail. "Close" to Portsmouth and the new by-way will get you anywhere quickly. Will stay here again next year.

This room was completely dirty with other people hair, stains, dog hair, and spills in the room. There are no locks on external entries to the property in the back or on the side and there was no manager to speak to. We had to leave and book another hotel. Terrible experience and I wasn’t refunded. Incredibly upset this happened on my son’s birthday as well!

The rooms were nicer than i expected. The shower curtain smelled mildewy and the tv had issues. But the room was clean, and the staff was very nice.
