Staff was very rude asked for a roll of toilet paper and she said I’m not on the clock and she was sitting at the front desk we stay there a lot and we’re very disappointed in staff attitude this time they told us rooms were assigned when we asked to move because heater was so loud after many complaints they finally moved us

The hotel was close to the ski resort. The pool was fun and breakfast was good. Our room was clean and comfortable.

NEVER AGAIN. SAFETY AND PRIVACY ISSUES
We were there due to a family emergency. We checked in at 9:30PM. After my exhausted husband grabbed us greasy food from the local Burger King, and we were in bed, a Portage police officer showed up AT OUR HOTEL ROOM DOOR, accusing my husband of drunk driving (he wasn't and the cop left without charging him). The front desk allowed them to come to our room. That is an invasion of our privacy and a huge security risk. Just think - anyone could walk in, say they're a cop and the hotel just let's them in. Unbelievable. I'll NEVER stay here or at ANY of their locations ever again. And if you value your safety and privacy, you'll do the same.

I do apologize once again for the issue that happened. I am not sure what was going on, I have dealt with the person that sent them up there. No not anyone can walk in and say the are with the police force, obviously we do check credentials, etc.

The pool was really dirty. The rooms were just alright.. for $160 I was expecting it to be a more classy hotel room. Old furniture. Hard beds. But the staff were friendly.

Check in was a breeze. The room was comfortable. Pool area was well kept, stocked with plenty of towels Breakfast was very good. Despite the snow and slush from the recent snowfall, the entryway and lobby area were very clean.

For the cost of the room it was definitely subpar. The room was dirty including spots on the sheets, large stain on lampshade, bathtub not cleaned very well.

Great overall stay and breakfast!
We enjoyed our stay overall! They were very friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and beds very comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was great especially the pancake machine and eggs and sausage wide better tasting than most. Family enjoyed the nice pool and hot tub.

Nice hotel
Best hotel in the Portage area. The rooms were clean and they were accommodating with our request to have a certain room. Our room had a king bed and the only thing I would change would be having a couple of extra pillows or bigger pillows for the bed. We have family in the area so we’ll be staying again in the future.

When we entered the room we were greeted by two insects crawling on the wall. We were a bit cold and found that the heater in the bedroom was inoperable. My wife tried the whirlpool and couldn’t get enough hot water to fill it. Finally when we awoke we found the area around the tub flooded soaking our clothes in the luggage. Horrible. Again I apologize, and as I said when you were still here, I did comp your room for you and have contacted Expedia to get refund your money back to you. We were unfortunately unable to find the leak, since the carpet was not wet at all. Maintenance did go in and check everything over and was unable to find any leak. Again I do apologize for the issues.

It was ok. Breakfast was great with many options and good coffee. The room was visibly dirty at checkin with greasy hand prints still all over the appliances and mirrors and hair in the tub. Could be a great place just need more attention to cleaning.

Filthy bathroom. Shower head was caked with black mold, and there was black mold all around the drain opening and side of the tub. Housekeeping staff cursing loudly in the hallway early in the morning. Hotel is generally shabby and not particularly well maintained.

I do apologize for the room condition. I am not sure why or how that got overlooked but it was taken care of right away, when we were able to get into the room. As for the housekeeping staff, they don't come in until 9 so not sure when this would have been.

This is an older property that has been upgraded. It is very clean and the rooms are somewhat larger than the newer designs in more modern newer hotels. The staff is exceptional.

My experience was okay
The main things that we needed were taken care of. They had nice clean sheets on the bed. This staff was nice. The breakfast was very good. One of the cleaners left a handwritten note for us which we thought was really nice. There were a couple of things we noticed.. dead bug by the bathtub and a small spider with web in the window. Wasn't a big concern to us like I said the main things were all taken care of. I was going to report it but I was not asked how my stay was when I checked out. I would probably stay there again.
