This hotel was very clean, quiet, and had gorgeous views. The employees were very professional and kind, which is nice since I'm a foreigner here. I also love that the hotel is in close proximity to a lof of things. Lastly, the room was very clean, organized, and had all the needed amenities. I loved my stay here and highly recommend it to others!

Nice staff/outdated rooms
The staff were friendly. The rooms and furniture are old and don't seem clean. The price is too high for what you get. I stayed in a cheaper hotel that was much nicer and cleaner. For the price they charge I would suggest changing the carpet in the rooms and updating the decor.

The best part about this hotel was the location; if you are looking for a place to stay for a night near the beach, this isn't a bad option at all for the price. However, for anything longer than a night or two, I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel. I stayed 4 nights and it was fine, but next time I'll probably look elsewhere for a long stay in Pohang. Pros: The check in/out process was very easy, and the mechanical parking garage was easy to access from the road. Location was great. McDonald's next door made breakfast easy. Pillows were soft and comfortable. Toilet had a bidet. The view from the room was nothing to write home about, but there was a partial ocean view that I didn't expect to have. The room was very quiet, and I couldn't hear any neighbors or other noises from within the hotel. Cons: The bed was very... Korean, but I don't really count that against the hotel. But it was very hard, and not what a foreigner would expect from a hotel. The furniture in the room seemed older, and though I'm sure they clean the room well, it only goes so far to cover up the aging room. The bathroom ceiling was cracked and I could see the pipes and wiring above the bathroom. The carpet seemed old as well, and on the surface it was clean, but I didn't feel comfortable that it was deep-cleaned regularly. Overall, it's a decent option for a quick weekend trip for a night or maybe two, but anything longer than that might warrant looking for another option in the area.

Galaxy Hotel is a fantastic and prime location for Pohang. You’re literally across the street from Yeongildae Beach, and seconds away from having the day’s catch of fresh seafood.

Wonderful Stay!
Great stay, couldn't have been better! The room and the view were fantastic and the beds were wonderful to sleep in. We stayed in the suite which has the bathtub in front of the window, unfortunately I didn't take the time to use it.

It was a different room from the picture. The room called City View was only visible from the next building wall. I was angry at Steph's unkind explanation that cityviews have windows.

Thw hotwl was a but expensive, but it was worth it. The hotel is right on the beach, and the room had a small kitchen so i could eat in if i wanted to.

Arrived a few minutes before check in time and got key... no one was manning the desk so I waited a while, then started calling the phone number...eventually the clerk arrived...he did not give a normal greeting which made it awkward... I guess thats how they treat foreigners... The clerk gave me the key and I went to my room... to my surprise the room was not clean...towels on the floor, bed was dirty, bathroom dirty... I went back to the clerk and told him the room was not clean... he clearly did not believe him and had to coach him to come to the room to see the problem. Told me come back in 30 minutes....did not offer any discount, meal voucher, swag bag, nothing... I don't know the protocol for such mistakes in Korea but an apology would do... none given .. After about 30 minutes the room was ready but I did have to question how clean the room was. Did they disinfect anything or did they just make the bed and take out the garbage pick up the towels. I was very suspicious of how fast the room was cleaned furthermore there was no toilet paper so I had to call for some. This situation basically ruined the entire stay because I paid for premium room and got mediocre service. The room spelled of body odor too so clearly they didn't disinfect anything. But that's okay I bought some from the conveniently-located gs25

The bed and pillows were so fluffy and comfortable. The hotel was very clean, quite new. Service was friendly and approachable. There are many extra amenities that were thoughtful, such as the 'cosmetics fridge'. It's easy to catch public transport, the location is a pretty nice local area, with good restaurants and cafes. The only weird thing was where the drain was located in the showers -- it may more easily flood the bathroom if a towel is not placed strategically... luckily there are lots of spare towels. I will stay again.

Perhaps it might have helped to have some English translation on the wall commands, as the air conditioner did not cool as we would have liked it to be be and the room became warm. Other than that, not a bad experience.

There are other choices in the neighborhood...
Average "hotel", right in front of the Pohang beach, but no direct view of the beach. Location is great, but once again, not much view. No "hotel" amenities to speak of. This is more like a motel. Room was clean but small, no closet, and bathroom has no bath, just stand-up shower.
