Warm & Friendly
It was a lovely place. We were stranded in Munich Airport from my snow storm. We were able to find this lovely place through hotels.com. They were warm and welcoming, to cold and tired sranded travelers. The food was outstanding there and they were super helpful with the German menu that we couldn't understand since we speak it only English. I would stay there again. Next time I'm in Munich I know I will really enjoy being at this hotel again.

Danke shen Hotel Strasshof!
We were stuck at Munich airport due to snow storm and after many searches found Hotel Strasshof had rooms. We got checked in very fast. Hotel did not raise rate to take advantage of stranded passengers like us. Thank you for calling taxi for me in the morning!

My best so far
The best German hotel I have stayed at in 10 years of travelling to the country. Modern rooms, with a cabin feel. Great beds, with blackout blinds.. I slept 12 hours straight. Would recommend greatly. They also helped me to pay for a taxi, where they requested cash.

Traditional German Hotel bar 24//7 capability
Fantastic Bavarian hotel. We didn’t have lunch or dinner though it was very full of local residents which tells you everything! We didn’t have tea/coffee facilities in the room which would help as hotel shut at 10.30pm. Checkin limited to 10pm and process for getting the keys can be better with modern phone technology.

Our receptionist was very abrupt when I questioned an extra guest charges on their Suite-was up to 4 people-we were 3. She talked to another lady in German and they both ultimately pointed out on my copy I presented the "price based on one person" at bottom of the page I hadn't seen. I sincerely apologized since I didn't see that earlier but they walked away.

Highly recommended
We stayed one night in July on our way to Italy. Very nice room (Junior suite). Conveniently close to the motorway, but very quiet. The breakfast was superb. We also had dinner in the biergarten - very nice, traditional Bavarian food.

The check-in process was quite easy. Staff was fairly friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The WiFi was sketchy at best. Would not recommend this hotel unless you are traveling for pleasure and WiFi is not important to you.

The hotel was in the country. Easy access to the Autobahn. They said they had WiFi, but we were not able to connect after several attempts and conversations with the manager. Other reviewers had the same problem.

Check-in was 1400 but after a long drive through winter weather we arrived at 1130 AM for a two night stay. I asked if we could check-in early since we just completed such a long drive. The answer was an unqualified "NO, check-in was 1400 we'd have to come back." This was told to us by the I suppose was the day manager. So we went out to have something to eat and returned at about 1300 and sat in the lobby finally the desk clerk, very nice said she had a room. I noticed the hours for lunch the next day and it was posted to end at 1400 but when we came down to eat we were informed that there was a seminar and lunch was only being served to the seminar guests, so we had to go out to eat. That evening we came back for dinner and were asked if we had reservations, we did not, but were guests in the hotel. We were informed that unless we had a reservation we'd have to come back in an hour to see if there was room. My complaint is that, Yes, reservations are customary, but you would think that the hotel would have one or two tables back in the "corner" for their hotel guests -- this is a hotel and not strictly a restaurant. Bottom line, the service available to guests are minimal, at best. We were taken aback at the lack of consideration to their hotel guests for dinning. I realize this review will have no impact, but travelers should be aware!

Quiet and clean
Specified king bed and was provided with two twin mattresses and two duvets. No tea coffee making facility, no phone, weak WiFi signal, hotel rules and information is only in German language. Restaurant menu is also in German language only.

The room was great! But you need to have a car to get to the hotel. We stayed at the other building, not in the main building. It wasn't that bad although it was a longer walk than usual. When we checked out, the staff was rather rude though. Insisted rudely that I stayed 2 nights when I only stayed for a night. eventually she decided to check the booking again and realised it was just 1 night. Then she changed her expression immediately and gave us a fake sweet smile. Other than that we didnt have much contact with the staff. But that 1 staff completely ruined my impression of it. Overall value for money.

New Bavarian style hotel near Munich
Nice Bavarian style hotel. Typical Bacarian restaurant and beer garden. Good buffet breakfast. Spacious family room!

The rooms and bathrooms are huge in this hotel. Service is excellent and restaurant serves good value great traditional German food.

Great restaurant for a halfway stop
We spent 1 night at the hotel as a stopover during a longer trip. The hotel is in excellent condition. The rooms were huge and well appointed (Except for the lack of a coffee station). The shower was fantastic! The restaurant was also great serving local Bavarian cuisine.
