A cozy cabin, it’s a like the perfect retreat, nestled in nature with a fireplace and all you need. It’s much better than vrbo photos specially inside the cabin. Almost you don’t need to bring anything and in case you need something the supermarket is like a 5 min drive.

It was a lovely spot not too far from the town when needed. Had all the basic amenities plus the firepit outside! Nice and clean property with a great view. When needed something from the property hosts, they were quick to respond and help!

Quiet retreat in the country
The newly renovated cottage (from a farm shed -- very interesting and with character!) is on the edge of a forest very near to the Avon trail. Hikes in the snow were incredible! Amenities are modern and attractive. We enjoyed the quiet, being close to nature, learning new board games, and luxurious accommodations. The perfect place for us to unwind and relax.

Quiet and cozy getaway
Our stay was very quiet, relaxing, and pleasant and owners were very engaged with communication. We did not need to message the owners during our stay but it was nice to know that we could be accomodated by them at any time. The place was also very clean and organized with many modern, up-to-date appliances and technologies. If you are looking for a small, cozy place to stay with your partner or a couple of friends, this would be a great option.

Sweet Spot!
The Country Nook was exactly what I was looking for when needing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin was spotless, and had all the amenities I needed. Fantastic grounds and places to explore, this cabin truly is clean and one of a kind. The hosts are kind and accommodating, and I look forward to my next visit!

Kevin’s cabin is a delight, the pictures in the listing give a good idea of how cosy and modern it is. We had a couple of small avoidable hiccups in our experience. The keypad for the front door lock requires a tap to wake it up. This initial tap doesn’t count as part of the code entry. We couldn’t figure that out, fortunately Kevin was right next door to bail us out. We were also a bit bamboozled by the magnetic Venetian blinds that don’t have a traditional string mechanism - you just pull them down! My wife was sure the rod was how it was done, which resulted in the rod falling off. Hopefully Kevin can get it back on. We’d definitely like to return.

Lovely Cabin
The cabin was clean, new and comfortable. Communication was easy and replies almost immediate. Although next to the owners’ house it still felt private. It is an easy drive from Stratford and so much nicer than the hotels in town. We will definitely stay here again!

Fall retreat
We enjoyed our stay. The space is well maintained. The interior is beautiful (a reminder: don’t judge a book by it’s cover). Kitchen and bath had all the items we needed. The hosts were responsive to our messages and had clear instructions. We had a wonderful time visiting Stratford which is a 10 minute drive. There were also board games that the family enjoyed playing together. Thanks!

Cute and Cozy
Had a great time staying at the Nook. It was clean, cute and cozy. Adam was very helpful and quick to respond to messages. Even though the Nook is next to Adams home, it was tucked away in the corner and had plenty of privacy I also had the opportunity to say hello to both dogs. Very quiet, friendly and didn’t cause any issues. I’d be happy to stay here again!

So nice I stayed here twice
This was my second time staying at this lovely little cottage. Lots of beautiful trees surround the back with a small screened sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. It is about a 15 minute drive away from downtown Stratford but I didn’t mind. Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin getaway!
Pictures don't do justice! Location is fantastic. The cabin was extremely clean and very well-maintained. It is also decorated with a lot of attention to detail, has everything you need. We were very pleased with our stay and the hosts are really responsive too - thanks Kevin for allowing us to check-in early and also for dropping off the iron, that was really appreciated! Look forward to revisiting, we really enjoyed our stay!

We have family close by in Tavistock, so this was a great home-away-from-home location for us. We visited family then enjoyed the peaceful luxury of having our own space at the end of the day. The property and barn is gorgeous. A lot of thought and love have been put into the design. A must stay for a weekend away enjoying the Stratford Festival, restaurant experience. Bonus, conservation area close by for a walk or picnic. Loved our stay! Thanks!

A Quaint Little Gem
We absolutely loved our time here! The hosts were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The Country Nook was neat, clean and had everything we needed. Clean and quiet, some minor flaws
Very clean. Looks and feels like a new build. I would say that the pictures are accurate, but that property felt smaller to us than it appears. The couch is more of a love seat and we didn't find it very comfortable. The kitchen is a bit tight to cook in and there isn't really a proper dining area. We found the counter too small to eat at comfortably. The property is in a cellphone dead zone, so be aware of that. It is also right next to the owners house, which came as a surprise to me, but it looks like the property description has been rewritten since I booked to reflects this. We were shocked one evening when we opened the front door and two large dogs were on our doorstep barking aggressively. I knew there were dogs on site, but was under the impression they couldn't reach the unit. I booked several months ago and it appears the description has been rewritten to reflect this or perhaps I just misunderstood. I do not recommend this property if you are afraid of large dogs. We were not certain we could safely back the car out of the driveway with the dogs out, but the owner put them away. The unit faces almost directly East-West and there are no blinds on the second floor, which means that the sun beams directly inside VERY early in the mornings in the summer. Despite the nitpicks we would stay again if unable to find something closer to town.

Thanks very much for your review! Normally we keep the dogs inside except a few times to use the washroom. We tried to message you but you must not have been receiving them as there was no response to any we sent. We did send a message with how to turn on wifi calling which allows you to use your cell phone as normal with your welcome message so i hope thay worked for you. Echo does bark when first meeting people but is very friendly and when i heard him bark came out immediately meeting you outside. When you informed me your wife was scared of dogs i put them inside. I know we have not changed the description since posting. Sorry if you found the live edge countertop not large enough. We call this place The Country Nook as is a small cute place.

The Nook was exactly what we needed. A chance to ignore everything but each other and that is a very rare occasion for us. I forgot to update the app before arriving but a quick trip up the road and I got the check in updated and no problems after that. Any questions I had before arrival were answered quickly and let me plan ahead. This was a surprise weekend for my wife’s birthday and she was thrilled with the space. It was a perfect timeout for us from parenting and work. Once you tell kids there is no cell service, they don’t want to come. Just make sure that they don’t find out there is wifi! There is everything you need once you arrive and everything is well laid out for guests to just relax.

What a lovely space!! Me and a girlfriend came to stay for my birthday. The owners wrote a happy birthday message on the chalkboard in the kitchen, which was very sweet. Before going, I asked if they had some certain things in the kitchen, and what they didn’t have they ran out and got. The space itself is great inside. Very very cozy and homie. A nook indeed!! Beautiful kitchen. Comfy beds and comfy seating. The fireplace certainly enhanced the coziness. The little screened in porch out the back is a fantastic addition, and would be great in warmer weather. The owners were great to deal with. Quick, easy, and pleasant with communication. Great hosts overall! They also have a couple friendly and well behaved dogs that I came across in the morning while packing my car. The owners messaged me if it was okay to let them out, so I’m sure if you have an issue with dogs they will let you know when the buddies are going to be out. It was a perfect stay, and if I have the chance I would stay here again!

We had an awesome weekend! Owners were great and we enjoyed the quiet surroundings! The extra things the owners did like breakfast in the fridge, the snacks that were provided, and the stocked keurig were super kind gestures. House was great and the time away were a blessing!

When we arrived the place was clean and ready for us to use. There was a little note welcoming us, a little basket in the bathroom with must need items as well as easily displayed instructions on how to use everything. The owner was very helpful in assisting my fiance in his surprise to propose. The cabin was adorable and cozy. I would definitely go back.
