Horrendous hotel
Horrendous hotel, looks fresh from the outside and from the lobby however rooms are old beds made of rocks. Bathroom with a shower that you can’t adjust the shower head so after a shower the bathroom turns into a pool since the shower had no curtains. Mini bar empty except one small bottle of water! Given the price we paid we feel absolutely cheated. The only positive thing were the staff that were friendly.

A pleasant surprise in a town well worth visiting
My wife, adult daughter and I decided to spend a night at Peniscola enroute from Valencia to Tortosa to see its 13th century Templar fortress located in a spectacular setting at the top of a steep peninsula almost completely surrounded by the Mediterranean. We booked two adjoining rooms at the Hotel RH Don Carlos with balconies offering views of the castle and old city and we were very glad we did, as the staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were excellent value, the breakfast was quite good and the hotel, itself, was within walking distance of the castle and close to the town’s long and beautiful beaches. Although our stay was only two days before Christmas, the weather was sunny and surprisingly warm. As well, Peniscola offers a number of seafood-oriented restaurants, one of which we dined in after exploring the old city (the hotel also has a restaurant which we would have tried if our stay were longer). Our walk back to the hotel after dark along the beachside esplanade was well lit and offered beautiful views of the castle in the distance framed by sand and palm trees. Since Peniscola and the hotel would probably be quite crowded during the summer, I would recommend visiting from late September until early May, if possible.

Great location and very comfortable
Great hotel - very comfortable beds and fab location to historic old town and the contemporary arts/theatres and huge park. Breakfast though could be improved with more cooked eggs selection (only boiled eggs)!

Very disappointed
Never got to stay at the hotel as they phoned on the morning of our check in to say there was a problem with our room!!!! They moved us to another hotel 3 km down the beach. They said it was the same standard- NO WAY!!! We were VERY UNHAPPY but it was too late to find anywhere else. Will NEVER stay at this group of hotels again.

The rooftop pool is amazing. Great location. Good breakfast buffet. We were disappointed that there was a extra charge for the Jacuzzi and sauna. The English translation on the information provided in the room indicated spa treatments had a fee, which we would expect, but that the other amenities (I.e. and sauna) we no extra charge for hotel guests. We’ve never stayed at a hotel that charges extra to use a hot tub or sauna.

Great location, minutes to the beach, supermarket and loca restaurants, plus only a few minutes walk into the lovely old town. Hotel staff, especially receptionists, were amazing. Pool and gym were good (a little cold as unheated, but was October), and the indoor spa was also brilliant. Only downside was the air conditioning - it didn't work much, so room was very hot, and although we reported it, no change.

A pleasant hotel
Very nice rooms and amazing roof top swimming pool. The breakfast buffet was nice with good variety. Very centrally located so you can easily walk down to the beach or even the castle.

Just set back from the beach but very good central location, not far from the castle. Large comfortable beds. Only had breakfast which was excellent. Nice friendly staff. Good wifi.

We would stay again!
Great Hotel. Suited our needs as a family of 5. We got a 2 bedroom suite which also had 2 bathrooms which was an added bonus. We paid for 1/2 board - so a buffet breakfast and dinner was included. This was excellent value, plentiful and the food was really very good. The lift is very slow so we often took the stairs. We also could not see where they supplied pool towels so had to use the bathroom ones instead. A great view from the pool. We would stay here again for sure. The parking inspector is very quick so never park your car out the front without paying for parking immediately. Or you are just better off using the hotel parking.

Great hotel. Second stay there. Excellent service. Bike hire for €8 per day. Food is outstanding. We had half board. You can choose either lunch or dinner to go with breakfast. Fantastic pool and terrace on the roof which is new.

Wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated, very clean. Friendly staff. Only problem was that bed had a very thin and very hard mattress which was very uncomfortable to sleep on. We had a junior suite. Room was very spacious, nice balcony. walk 5 minute to get to beach. lots of options for breakfast at hotel. free cocktail vouchers when we checked in. would stay here again if they change their mattresses!

Great spot, close to castle
This hotel is Conveniently located one block behind the beach, so while not right on the beach like other hotels in the area it had convenient parking out the front, was close to restaurants, shopping and an easy to walk everywhere. It is also close to the castle, a must when in Peniscola. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and had good options. Highly recommended.

Meerblick in einer Lücke zwischen großen Hotels. Im Mörz noch kostenloses Parken vor dem Hotel. Betten durchgelegen, Zu viele alte Leute, Esssen zwar reichhaltig, aber mehr " Masse statt Klasse". Personal ist sehr nett. Zentral gelegen. Für eine Nacht ok. Zimmer sind definitiv in die Jshre gekommen und könnten mal wieder eine Renovierung vertragen. Balkon sehr geräumig, aber Parkplatzblick und links ein riesiges Hotel, aber es gibt eine Lücke im aufs Meer zu schauen.

Cuando reservé, ya no funcionaba la piscina por un problema de filtraciones. NO se informó de esa incidencia en la web y nos encontramos con la sorpresa al llegar. SI nos ofrecieron, tras pedirlo, SPA gratis un día ( puede que si lo hubiésemos pedido para más días, lo hubieran hecho) En fin, todo bien salvo esa incidencia de la piscina que era grave.
