It was extremely hot night and there was no air conditioning available, no hair dryer, no iron, no fridge nothing. Horrible small room with 2 towels and 2 soap bars that is it. Would not recommend this place. Super expensive but you dont get anything.

Bad customer service!
On August 10, 2022 at around 08:30-09:00, I went to the breakfast area to check what kind of food/breakfast is being served. I was checking if there are continental breakfast available (scarmbled egg, sausage, bacon etc.). Unfortunately, there wasn’t. I was aproached by a female staff (wearing a black top and a pony-tailed hair). She asked for my room number and I provided her our room number. I told her that “I want to check first what kind of breakfast you serve”. Thats when she ROLLED HER EYES on me, literally rolled her eyes on my face! It was an unpleasant experience and so I left with my family. I went to the front desk and talked to the male staff. I asked the guy if I can talk to the Manager, Supervisor to report the incident. All of a sudden, this guy cannot understand me and said “I dont understand what you mean”. I remember when we first checked in, staffs speak very good english and when I started complaining they cannot understand me ??? So I have to explain it slowly and clearly about the incident, and the only thing the guy said to me was “No manager today”. I asked, is there anybody I can talk to to complain. The guy said “Nobody”. I asked the guy for the name of the female staff and said that he cannot do it for privacy and I understand that. The front desk guy talked to the lady on the breakfast area briefly and that was it, didn’t offer any help to us. Aug. 11 at 09:10am, we checked out, same guy at the frontdesk did not say a word to us! :(

Left after 1 hour
Budget it is exept the price $200 night. Small cheep looking rooms, toilet door basically a painted plywood on hinges. Got a room on top floor that had no air conditioning and with the heat wave this summer was impossible to stay in. We ended up going to a different hotel and they couldn’t refund anything because we booked a non refundable option, lesson learned. Reception area has nice big windows overlooking a pool that is not for the budget guests.

Air con doesn't work Unfriendly staff The beds remained me of my swiss military service No other outlet besides the sink for cell and tablet All in all a disapointment for the price.

Nice Hotel
Somehow, I liked the hotel. Location was in a nice, quiet, clean area. Public transit, restaurants and grocery stores were within couple of minutes of a walking distance. Inside the hotel was really basic, well maintained and clean. The two small elevators were a bit slow and busy most of the time. I was expected more from the receptionist to be prepared and provide the standard information but I had to ask everytime. Maybe there were overwhelmed that week.

Great location in Paradiso - easy walking distance to Lake Lugano and Lugano town itself, plenty of shops and restaurants nearby too. About one min walk to the funicular station which is a must do if the weather is good. Perfect for a two day stay to explore Lugano with our dog. Very basic rooms but did the job and helpful staff. Only down side is not being able to control AC temperature in the room, not ideal in summer, room was too hot with the window only opening a few inches. Otherwise a great base for exploring the area.

Small room but we were travelling light so it was perfect. It was super cute and made great use of space. Breakfast was really good. The free scooters (subject to deposit) were AWESOME, perfect to see the city on that beautiful sunny day. All in all I loved it, was expecting a lot worse but this hotel manages to stay "budget" and nevertheless maintain good standards. That makes it excellent in my book.

The hotel was in good location to the lake a small walk to downtown by very pleasant.the parking is very difficult so I would suggest paying the extra to park at the location.the breakfast fast was very basic the only hot item was hard boiled eggs but otherwise fine. The area can be expensive so the included breakfast is a bargain. The budget room is just as it states very IKEA,small tv,small showers, small space . Good for short term stay.

Reasonable price and everything is as expected.

Expensive, no privacy in shower and toilet
For some reason, there are no proper doors for the toilet and the shower. Shower has a partially clear glass door with a hole instead of a handle. Toilet has a door without a lock or even a handle, with gaps at the top and bottom. Basically, there is no privacy at all for neither the toilet nor the shower. Anyone using them is almost within the room. It's not clear what they saved by not putting normal doors for shower/toilet. Even one door for both would have been better. Breakfast is 13 chf extra if you pay for it at check-in. If you don't decide at check-in, it's 16 chf. Parking is 20 chf per day. For the price of this hotel, they could have provided the parking for free! The hotel is near the lake, in Paradiso. It's about 20 minutes walk to Lugano proper. Service provided by the staff was good.

Hotel of horrors
The Ibis hotel in Lugano is an absolute disgrace I would not leave my dog or cat stay there as they could catch flees. However if you wanted to bring a lady of the night there well that is a different story. The hotel is filthy, noisy and the staff are ignorant and rude.

Great location but rooms need cleaning
Location is great. Close to various bus stops and station - although taking the bus for the central station is recommended if you have luggage as the walk from the station is not too convenient. Staff is super friendly. Did not try the breakfast as there is an amazing Swiss Tearoom across the road. Room was filthy though - to the extent where you could see that the door has not been cleaned in a while due to dust collected

Right on the lake Lugano.
Great spot close to train station. We often use IBIS Blue when we visit Lugano. Not central but just a train stop from Centre. Extremely close to the lake.
