This hotel was very good, the staff were lovely but what really makes it special is the location. 4 min walk to the harbour bus station. It's opposite a supermarket and it's about 5 mins walk to the sea front shopping and dining options. Oh and it also backs onto an ancient ruin and beautiful church. The pool was fab too.

Nothing unique, there were other accommodation in the complex But mine was very basic ,and balcony no roof,if I wanted to sit out but was raining 😡,the food was of decent standard,although at times the hot food was cold,thankfully I was on my own,if my wife was there she would have hated it!..could do with an upgrade! ..staff were pleasant and linen and towels changed daily,..I looked into bins and car park from my balcony which is at the back of property ...not a pleasant view..won’t be rushing back.

Great for families, central to all the local tourist amenities. Large apartment with a self catering kitchen. We had everything we needed. Hotel staff were very friendly. The pool looked great but unfortunately we did not get time to enjoy it. Great overall rating.

Fantastic place.
Got a free upgrade to a penthouse suite. Absloutely fantastic. Great value. Even without the upgrade. If I ever visit Paphos again I wouldn`t hesitate to book here. Great location, plenty of shops, bars, and resturants. Walking distance from bus station and harbour.

The property is ideally located in the centre of town. The room was a bit dated and the shower was very poor. As I booked on a room only basis I felt out of place when trying to get served in the bar/restaurant area as most guests were all inclusive.

Access to the self-catering block not very inviting. Horrible smell at Ground level. Lack of facilities in the kitchenette (i.e. no washing-up implements provided nor were there any dishclothes or wiping-up clothes). No power points adjacent to mirrors to allow ladies to blow-dry their hair. If you book a "Standard" apartment you cannot hire towels for use on the sunbeds around the pool. Very poor choice of TV programmes for the long dark evenings. Very disappointed in the buffet choices for an evening meal. Location good for the seafront, bus station, restaurants and bars.

Dear Guest, We thank you for your feedback. Please note that for health and safety reasons the hotel does not provide dish washing products (soap or cloths). The choice of TV programmes caters for a variety of languages, however the Hotel does have free WiFi if you wish to use it to watch on your phone or tablet. The hotel buffet food offers a wide variety of foods and if you have an dietary requirements or needs, please let the hotel know so that we can cater for it. Kind regards

Cheap and cheerful
This hotel was comfortable at best but I didn’t feel that the photos were a true representation of what we received. Nevertheless when we arrived the room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately there were small things missing which made no logical sense. For example, there was a kitchen with crockery/cutlery/cooking equipment etc however, there was no washing liquid or plug for the sink to wash the dishes. There was no lid on the rubbish bin which you put the toilet paper in, this was not pleasant as housekeeping only visited every second day. The pool area is great and perfect for sunbathing with plenty of sun loungers however, the pool itself is not heated at all so was quite cold (colder than swimming in the sea in Cyprus which is highly recommend). The location of the hotel itself is great as it is right accross the street from a large supermarket and 2 minutes walk from the harbour and a main bus station that can take you to most of the main attractions of Paphos. There are also plenty of good restaurants in the local area.

Very good location. Frendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Pleasant pool area. Hot water system seemed inefficient at first but was fine once we had worked out how to use it .All in all, very good value for money.

We were in the Suites over the road from the main building. Which was fine as it was quieter. The floors were very grubby and covered in dust, desperately in need of a good clean! Our main issue was we had no water whatsoever for 48 hours. When I called reception to tell them this, all we got was (after the 3rd call) "there is nothing we can do, you will have to wait for maintenance". Not exacltly what you want to hear when you are spending £126 per night! The service was awful! I had to mention that we had no water several times to different members of staff before they did anything about it. As we had no water, we had to go out to the main building in our bathrobes to get a wash. Walking through everyone having their dinner & entertainment which, as you can imagine, was quite awkward and embarressing. Not something you want to do on holiday! They didnt even offer any bottled water so we could at least brush our teeth or have a drink. The breakfast was very average. Porridge was awful, the worst I've ever tasted, same with the coffee. My partner had omlettes on a couple of mornings which were fine however difficult to find staff to make them (probably busy switching everyones water off!). The enteraintment around the pool is not for everyone, more aimed at the older demografic? Hotel should have more english tv channels, they only have one that isn't even a clear signal. The staff need to work on customer service, the old guy and woman with the afro as examples, very poor.

Very clean hotel, lovely and welcoming when we arrived late after a delayed flight and the man checking us in even helped us carry our things to the room to help. The staff throughout our stay were extremely welcoming cheerful and helpful! Would 100% recommend to everyone!!

found the staff very unfriendly. The room was lovely and a great area. The room was in a separate building from the pool area which was across the street. Very dark at the night when going back. Found it quite scary as we were two females travelling alone. Maid was excellent

Upon Arrival they didn't have 2 rooms available despite the booking clearly stating 2 rooms. We had booked Superior Studio Apartments which are 300m away in another building within which the rooms were fairly modern and had been upgraded only to be given an apartment in the main building which was very, very dated and tired and really not that clean. Our friends had to share with us as it was a 3 bedroom apartment and reception never offered to correct things or compensate for their mistake until I suggested providing a free breakfast for the 4 of us for our whole stay of 4 days, they readily agreed to this. Location is good for the harbour and sea front with a supermarket directly opposite if you use this for a longer stay. To be fair, the apartment was well equipped even having a dishwasher but it seriously needs upgrading and the cleaners need to pay more attention to cleaning rather than just change the towels and make a bed (on 1 day during our stay, it wasn't done at all). If you book to stay here, make sure you make it VERY clear you wish to stay in the suites not the main hotel as these apartments have been upgraded.

Stayed end of March 2018. Great Location for Harbour Bus Station, Supermarket, Paphos Archaeological Park, lots of good restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. Good buffet breakfast at hotel, didn't book all inclusive because we prefer to try local restaurants so can't comment on lunch and dinner. Hotel is in several separate buildings we were the furthest from reception on the 2nd floor in Erato above Mother's Restaurant. No lifts in a few of the buildings. Room was good size, beds comfortable, clean and tidy but hot water was a bit temperamental sometimes ran very slow, sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold by the end of the week we had sussed it out. Didn't use the cooking facilities in the studio but great having a fridge. Swimming pool area is a good size but we didn't use it at all. WiFi speeds excellent in room and throughout public areas of complex. For £40 a night B&B it was a bargain.

Convenient location
I stayed on a room only basis and was accommodated in the Artemis Suite, across the road from the main hotel/restaurant. It was very handy for the supermarket and a very good jeweller who did an excellent repair on a precious gold ring. I had a superior studio which was adequately furnished, very comfortable bed, small balcony with a view over the harbour. There was a microwave oven, toaster, kettle and a two ring hob. I didn't actually cook but the kettle and microwave were useful. My main minus points related to availability of hot water. There seemed to be three separate immersion heater switches for hot water but I only once managed to get hot water to the wash hand basin and the shower was hit and miss. The tap at the kitchen sink worked well. The other minus was that, apart from the lift, there was very little thought given to the disabled/elderly. The shower particularly was scary with no way to hold on to anything if you slipped and even as a fairly active 81 year old I felt vulnerable. I would also have liked to get English news channels and to know beforehand not to put loo paper down the loo - anywhere in Cyprus!

The staff named Kevin was friendly and welcoming. Other staff were not at all friendly or welcoming. I respectively asked for a quiet room so I was given the room above the kitchen- right across from the loud music/bar and banging pots and pans in the restaurant kitchen. One is left w the sense the staff resent tourists. Otherwise, great location and nice facility w lots of potential

I had a great week, 20c. compared to 3c. in UK.a bit of a sandstorm from somewhere in Africa but better than the snow the rest of Europe. I can't think of a bad thing to say about the hotel & the possition was exelent. The hotel had very good Wi-Fi, staff were very friendly& helpfull with perfect English. Appartment, large,clean & tidy, much better than 1st. impressions of my part of the complex from the outside. Location, Exelent for bus station, harbour, shops, bars, restaurants & take aways, all within 2-3 mins. walk. Bus services could not be better &simple, go 1 stop or to the end of the line all 1 price, 1-5 euros.+ they have special day tickets etc.

the main drawback for us was the balcony,this was never in the sun and looked across to other apartments. We were also disappointed with our bathroom as the shower curtain didn't stop the water from soaking the floor and making it very slippy. We also struggled to get hot water for more than 15 minutes at a time, and the room had a damp spell when we first entered it.

Central location but peaceful
Staff were quick to sort out an issue with the booking (flight+Hotel) payment. Room very spacious and clean. Little things like light not working on balcony and no corkscrew weren't attended to, which didn't bother me but reflect badly. With a little extra care and renovation - some blocks are older and much more tired than others - this could be a perfect place in Pafos. 'Views' from balcony will vary enormously so best say if you need a good on and be prepared to pay more (which is fair enough).

Lovely white cotton bed sheets and towels. Stayed in Room 217 studio, outlook onto trees and a lovely walkway. Good value for money. The only downside was the entrance and the lift needed a clean and a lick of paint.I would definitely stay there again.

I had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. Very clean and modern. There is a large pool and gym at the hotel. The only negative was the food, I didn’t enjoy any of the meals so if I go again I will book room only!

Stayed at the Basillica as a lone traveller due to visiting my family in Papphos. I have visited Paphos for 20+ years. The location is fantastic, 2 mins from harbour, 1 min from Papantonios supermarket, 1 min from bus station, 1 min from car hire shop, 1 min from tobacconist, shops, cafes etc. A walk to Paphos mall can be done in 15-20 mins. I requested a refurbished room which was just over the road from the main complex / where food is served but was no problem at all. There was a lift which was good. Room immaculate, great comfy bed, lovely modern bathroom . Loved the wood on doors / cupboards. Plenty of wardrobe space, balcony, lovely sofa. There is plenty of choice of food for breakfast:- cereals, juice, hot drinks, breads,cheese, ham, toast, jams, fresh & tinned fruit, bacon, beanss, sausage, eggs (boiled,fried,scrambled, omlette made fresh for you), hash browns. My only negative is that the food is not always hot, so you have to eat it straight away. As my baby nephew was in hospital i was given a late check out which was so much appreciated.THANK YOU Air Con & heating is free !!!!! yes free, there was a safe, however i did not use this. Free WIFI which is fast. I will most definitely stay here again

Good position in Kato Paphos but not managed well
Good news - position next to a supermarket, the bus station and the seafront. Asked for quiet room and block with lift and got it. Unfortunately shop next to my balcony doing shop fit sometimes from 6.30am but not the fault of Basilica. Check in receptionist not very friendly. Hire of safe the most I have ever paid. 2 euros a day and not a sliding rate so 42 euros for the 3 weeks I was there. Nearly had no money left to put in safe. Fresh towels every day but duvet cover not changed in 2 and a half weeks! I knew because of a bright pink stain on one side and a grey stain on other side. It was only turned over. Complained and it was changed for last 4 days. Floor always really dirty, had to wash feet all the time, thankful therefore for the towel change. Some flooring was laminate though so water just lays on the top. Balcony furniture only cleaned by me. No cooker only 2 rings. No common area apart from small sitting area next to reception. Mattresses around the pool were left out. After rain they were wet and dirty. I cleaned mine myself. After 17 days they put them away completely. English channels did not work after first day. Told it was my specific block. Then told it was a problem Cyprus-wide. Holidaying alone or would not bother. Staff seemed on the defensive and depressed although I was always friendly in spite of problems. Ending on a good note, Wi-Fi was great, the fridge didn't make a noise and when the safe wouldn't let me in, they repaired straight away.

LOST IN THE BIG APPARTMENT
Booked as a single traveller but received an appartment with 2 bedrooms, sitting room and a kitchen, pool side. The breakfast was buffet style , very good, more like full english breakfast, well worth 7 euro. The location couldn't be more central for Kato Paphos and about 5 minutes of lazy walk to the sea.

The rooms where clean and easily accessible, it's a 5 minute walk to many places of interest. The wifi is really good, the best I've had in my stays in Cyprus!

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Dreadful place
We booked a 'superior' suite which was a joke. We were informed on the website that we would have a bath but we didn't. Rooms were old and neglected and not fit for purpose and frankly disgusting. This is a large complex and some of the blocks should be taken down and rebuilt. The sunbeds were filthy and needed a good clean.
