We love staying at the sugar sands when we come to Panama City beach Florida is convenient it’s affordable it’s great for family trips it’s clean and staff is awesome ! I recommend 8.7/10 :)

Our room was great for 2 people recently updated and roomy. Gorgeous view and easy beach acess. Parking was convinent and easy as well.

Hotel isn’t a 5 star resort or anything, if you go in with the right expectations you’ll be happy. We had a beach walk up room, which was on the first floor with the pool directly in front of it. Convenient to get to beach, and it’s on the west end, more quiet part of the beach which we liked. Facilities could use an update because things definitely show their age, but for the price it’s acceptable

The place needs to be torn down. It is OLD and run down. Worse place ever to stay. So sorry that we spent money to stay here.

Beach access was great but the TV in the living room had about 15 channels that were viewable, the rest were static. The TV in the bedroom didn't work - there was sound but no picture. Two of the outlets in the living room area didn't work - overall it was just a subpar experience. Would not stay again.

Very little parking- parking lot is very rough and cramped when there is a spot open. Maybe 15-20 spots for two buildings worth of people

Great view- well maintained pool and beach area- outdoor area for children- room was clean and updated- exterior could use a little updating but a terrific place to stay, great price

This lovely loft style room was really nice with a walkout to the patio & boardwalk. Plenty of homey room to move around & cook. We really enjoyed being able to watch the sunset each evening from the patio. It wouldve been good to have a dust mop to run over the floor to keep the sand up.

Upon arrival to our room, it had a foul odor that we had to buy an air freshener spray to get rid of. We were there for four nights and five days. We NEVER saw a cleaning person, and we had to go to the office to get towels and toilet paper. The dishes had been put up dirty and had to be washed, AND, they charged me $11 for using ONE of their bags of coffee!!! I definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

This hotel is average but the view of the beach was great! It is a little further away from town but makes for a quiet stay and we practically had the beach to ourselves. The building is outdated with an elevator in need of repair. The rooms were pleasant enough but could be cleaned better. At check in our room still had sand on the floor and both my husband and I got glass splinters in our feet. The wifi is free but doesn’t work if you get a room above the 2nd floor.

We visited for our 25th anniversary. Sherri, the manager, worked with my husband in setting up the room with decorations, wine and a gift certificate for dinner. It was a really nice surprise. Thank you to Sherri and her staff for setting this up. Our room was on the first floor with easy access to pool and beach. Loved the location. Kitchenette was convenient as was the full size refrigerator and dishes available. Bonfire Friday night was a nice touch. Met some really great people. We will be back. You may need to go to office and ask for supplies such as towels and toilet paper depending on how long you stay.

The staff was not helpful We had to repeatedly as for towels they were out all the time. The elevator was on and off working. Our air unit only blew air out of half the unit. Air unit leaked water out on balcony that puddled. Pool was cloudy & dirty. Pavers around pool were a trip hazard. The smell of marijuana was constant. Beds were broken and we changed rooms& beds still very uncomfortable. Music was played loud at 7:30 am and after 10 pm most nights. No security. Anyone could park and come to pool and no one checked. The concrete wood is old and I question the structure of the other bldg we were moved from. Only good thing is there were no bugs we saw. Garbage was stacked for a long time by hallway trash bins. I would not recommend or stay here again!

I thought our stay was great. The walk to the beach was super easy. The property was a little dated but very nice. The only complaint I had was the sheets didn't stay on my bed. But we had a great time.

2nd time staying and both times was nice and quiet. Clean rooms. I only recommend a vent for air to flow to the other part of the room. Other than that I give it a 5 out of 5

The property is located in a nice area surrounded by houses. It has great amenities. The rooms definitely need updating and the mattresses are terrible. Great price for what it is.
