The hotel was fine. The receptionist was nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay But I can not understand why breakfast must be served on plastic paper and polystyrene I think metal cutlery and porcelain plates, cups and bowls would be more eco friendly and definitely a lot less tacky

Felt it was lacking in cleanliness especially in the public areas such as elevator doors. Mattress was clearly well worn and bathroom could use some updating.

There was a lot of noise throughout night on my floor. I got absolutely no sleep. The noise was reported and I heard others yelling out their rooms for the individuals making all the noise to be quiet. This made my stay the absolute worst.

The beds in this facility are ridiculously high. Even at well over six feet I could not just sit down. For my wife and kids here for a volleyball competition the beds are mountainous! Who chose such for a major part of the operation? Truly one would need be seven feet tall to easily “fall into bed!”

The location was very convenient and in close proximity to restaurants and a Walmart. I would definitely return. The manager and staff were very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast was amazing.

When we arrived, they couldn't find my reservation so they made us pay for another room. Right after we got to our room, they called and said it "just came through" but she didn't know how to fix the error so we would have to come talk to the manager the next day. Fine. Our tv had a huge cable box and sensors that had to be positioned in just the right way for the remote to work (my son literally had to hold the sensor so we could change channels.) Breakfast was egh with few options and they did cancel our room which was relatively easy. The hotel conditions were subpar for a Holiday Inn Express and I'm glad it was just a one night stay over. Not the worst but I would say adequate at best.

Even though the staff was ok. The hotel had bugs in all our rooms. One of our team mates parents had to be moved to another room which had bugs to but not as many, but was tolerated. We told the desk clerk and she never sent anyone to check it our. She told us that the bugs came when Florida had a hurricane years back the bugs came and kept coming; We showed her a large Wasp nest in a corner on the outside of the building she said she would tell someone, So on Saturday nite when we made it to our room there were more bug We went to walmart and got bug spray and killed the burgs that we had in our room. Thank God the store was close to the hotel. So it was not an enjoyable weekend. Hopefullly the bug problem is taken care of in the future.

Wonderful hotel for Talladega Races
What a wonderful week experience at this hotel for The Nascar races at Talladega. From the moment of our hotel check in to our departure, we were treated well by staff, always asking if we needed anything or providing attraction recommendations such as the Majestic Caverns or Cheaha State Park, which we did during our stay. Beds super comfy, nice hot water for showers and quiet with great food options within walking or 1 mile driving distance. We would definitely stay here again!

checked in and was greeted by Leann. She was Great! Hotel lobby was nice and dropped our things off in room and went to go to eat. Later when we settled in noticed bathroom tub was AWFUL! Wouldn’t use it. Beds are very Elevated had to jump up to get in but they were comfy.
