Scaffolding outside window & along outdoor facade.. not mentioned when booked. Insufficient organizational possibilities in bathroom..eg. Shelf for placing cosmetics/toiletries..hook/s for hanging However, lovely setting for breakfast & very personable and helpful front desk staff!

Our Oslo Favorite
HCT is very convenient and is not too large, so no sense of being lost at someone else’s convention. The beds are great, as are the showers; and the breakfast is easy to access and often uncrowded. It is an easy walk to many places and has convenient stops for trams, busses and the express train to the airport. Good restaurants are nearby.

Junior suite, 1nt, superbly comfortable bed, admitted to room early w/o charge, most helpful desk attendant. Minor gripes regarding no separation twixt bed area & sitting area (an issue if, e.g., after a long flight, one party has issues dealing w/jetlag and would like to avoid disturbing the other 😉), just 1x of beverages in minibar, only 2x coffee pods in room. However, not sufficient to prohibit us from rebooking for 2x nts prior to our return journey, will ensure the minibar & coffee pod gripes are addressed when we next check-in … if that happens we’re looking at 5’s across the board. 😉

The elevators were constantly down making the stay more challenging, especially with luggage. We had two rooms and one of them had zero view due to construction equipment. When you come to beautiful Oslo, you don’t want to be staring at construction equipment. The desk person was always fantastic and the location was purposely picked due to its close proximity to everything. I understand construction is needed from time to time but we were only there for 2 nights so it felt like a huge hassle.

In 3 weeks travelling around Norway and Northern Europe, this was sadly the hotel we were most disappointed with. The location and breakfast were superb - but the room was pretty poor and tired. Also rather annoying paying 300kr per night for a dog (3 nights - 900 kroner), but only had the room cleaned once in that time and even then no hoovering.

Not my favorite hotel
This hotel is undergoing construction. While the lobby and the dining area are nice the hallways to the rooms are dusty and carpets don't look clean. The rooms have been redone to a neutral palette but seem lacking in the overall design. New sinks have faucets that spray out of the sink if you turn them on all the way. Overall I was disappointed with this hotel. I think you can do better in this price range in Oslo.

Convenience of location, proximity to transport, the delightful staff all made our stay at the Christiana a lovely experience. Without aircon, the air blower positioned in our room was fine for our time there, mid June, but I feel it would struggle to keep the room cool in hotter weather.

Noisy. The hotel will say that they will contact next door bar. But it can be seen from several other reviews that it doesn’t make a difference. They did at 1AM when I was there but still the noise continued for at least two more hours. If you want some sleep then stay elsewhere.

We loved this hotel - great vibe. The breakfast and restaurant were excellent! Staff were super helpful and friendly, especially, Henri. Great central location except for the disappointing extreme loud music (that went on until 3 am) that kept us up our first night. Thanks to Henrik we were able to get a courtyard facing room that was much quieter. Super grateful for his attention to this!

When I checked in I specifically asked for a quiet room facing the courtyard. I was give a street facing room next to the elevator...There is a club next door and across the street that plays loud music every night until 3 AM. I did not get any sleep for three nights.

The hotel staff was exceedingly accommodating and helpful. The lounge area was perfect for stretching out and having take away meals (good for any COVID concerns that may arise). The coffee, tea, and water in the lobby was appreciated. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. A major plus. The location was also outstanding. Walkable to all major sites in Bergen, restaurants, and the waterfront. The front facing rooms could be a little noisy based on the parking garage across the street, but otherwise hotel was quiet.

The hotel is convenient to shopping, dining and public transportation. Easy to reach the sites around Oslo like museums and parks. One downside is also that it is close to downtown bars and public transit as there can be noise on weekend nights. We experienced EDM music until 3am on a Friday night.

My husband & I truly enjoyed the boutique style hotel. The interior is so neat and fun! The location was absolutely perfect. The hotel staff was always at your service & very friendly/helpful when needed. We would highly recommend staying here & we will one day soon.

The hotel was great!! Friendly staff, great location to see all the higblights of Oslo, including the harbor area. The complmentary breakfast was excellent, and the bar was perfect for our end of the day nightcap. We will be staying here whenever we are in Oslo.

Great central hotel with character
Nice little boutique hotel with lots of character - almost like 2-3 old buildings combined into one with a crazy staircases. Its an old building but the rooms are renovated - good breakfast as well. Only complaint was elevator was super slow, but overall will be back and super close to train station (5 minute walk) and close to restaurants and bars in central G.

Great location - nothing fancy though
Great location, good breakfast, but we had water coming through the ceiling into the bathroom, which was a bit of a concern. Did they fix it, I do not know, as it was our last morning.

We’ve been very happy here. Excellent location in the middle of town. You can walk everywhere. The room we have (superior king) is not large and there’s really no place to put you luggage. However the bed and duvet are wonderful and the shower is great. It’s been warm and the air conditioning works perfectly. Highly recommended.
