The location of the hotel was great, easy to get to/from, the room was perfect for our needs (especially having a full kitchen available), and the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Really wanted to give this property 5 stars as it is very nice, staff were excellent and the breakfast was excellent as well. My complaint is that housekeeping in our room was poor. No toilet paper, the night stand beside the bed needed a good wipe down and our phone to contact the front desk was missing the cord to plug into the wall. Everything else was amazing and we would stay there again as we were assuming that the housekeeping issues were a one off.
Super clean and loved the layout of the room. Breakfast had decent options. Sofa bed was dreadful, even for the kids. I also didn’t like how the price of the room fluctuated daily. At one point, the same room was listed for $949!?! Some parents had to stay at a different hotel because the prices became outrageous. That shouldn’t be allowed.
I had a great stay with my kids, only 2 issues I see needs attention is , hot tub needs good cleaning every three days, and toilet seats needs to be stable.
Property is in renovation so it was noisy until 6 pm . My room was beside the garbage dumpster.

We have stayed at The Marriott in Gravenhurst, 5 Star! In Whitby the room was good. Check-in easy, friendly staff.
The morning breakfast was not good!!! Too many people, so congested. Bad layout.
Lots of kids making waffles, hard to get to the cereal station. Line up for coffee, no cream. Oatmeal runny,
soggy eggs. We know it's included but, not good

The front end staff was very friendly, approachable and funny! I enjoyed my stay, and next time I'm down in Whitby I will for sure be staying there!

The person who checked us in was friendly and welcoming.
The elevator and hallways were not clean.
The room was grotesquely dirty and smelly. Stains on the carpet and furniture, cracked basin in the bathroom. The worst of all was we noticed that the grate through which the heating/AC air passed was filthy, so we used damp tissues to wipe it. The door it was part of was ajar and when we opened it, the furnace filter was so clogged there was no way it could have been changed in the past year. Passing damp tissues over the metal grill on the furnace produced a large ball of thick dust. Absolutely disgusting.
Had we not booked a non-refundable rate on Expedia there is no way we would have stayed

Front desk staff, Shume, was rude and unhelpful when I asked to pay my bill with cash. She insisted on using my credit card that I provided to Expedia and I had no control as to whether they would charge my card or not. This is after I called prior to check in to confirm my preferred payment method and confirmed with the other front desk girl upon checkin that I would be using cash, not my credit card.
At first glance the room was very clean… but after the initial few moments I noticed a lot of grime and dirt in various places which was disappointing since I don’t enjoy living in filth, let alone other peoples filth! Outside had piles of garbage at the side as well.
Gym… about an 8x10 room with extremely limited equipment. We opted out.
Pool area would probably be used by children only as we intended on enjoying a swim but did not find it very inviting.
Breakfast was available and we took part on the first day but found the food to be quite tasteless and cheap. We went to Starbucks for the rest of our stay.
We will not ever go back, most particularly because I do not appreciate being treated badly and I don’t enjoy living in dirt.

The place is right off the 401, so very convenient for driving. Facilities are a little dated but clean, and the rooms are a great size. Comfortable bed/furniture too. Parking is ample and easy, and there's lots of food and gas options in the vicinity. But having your own vehicle is recommended!

Convenient location close to the highway. There are dining options close by ranging from take out to dine in. The hotel has plenty of parking and the rooms are large and very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, well lit, good kitchen and facilities. Room was not serviced during my 3 day stay, though there were ample towels provided. Included breakfast was okay at best. Location is good, handy to GO train, easy to walk to dining options.

They declined my reservation that was made the same day because I didn't have a major credit card which I wasn't aware of and then charged me $213.57 for cancelling which I did not they cancelled me. The manager and staff were extremely rude. Would never attempt to go back or recommend

Loved the kitchenette, it had a stove top, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and utensils. The location is perfect with train station nearby and shopping close enough. The staff were helpful , property clean and quiet. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in town.
The room smelled bad. It said there were two beds, including a hide-a-bed, the mattress in the hide-a-bed is the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on, I’m sure prison cell beds are better than that. All the plates and cutlery at breakfast were disposable, unacceptable in 2024. Terrible vibe at the front desk.
