There was no carpet on the floor of my room, so it felt very cold and unwelcoming. The hallway was also uncarpeted. So I could hear the echoing of walking, talking and everything else that was happening in the hallway very loudly! My room never felt private or peaceful. It was never quiet enough for a restful sleep.

I want to assure you that our housekeeping team thoroughly clean the rooms daily, and the carpets are deep cleaned with our carpet cleaner several times a year. If there were other guests who were disturbing your rest, we do apologize for that, and want to assure you that if any guests are being kept awake due to noise from other guests, they should reach out to the Front Desk to let them know of the situation. Finally, the hotel is going into a new round of renovations soon, and will be amplifying the availbale space for the breakfast room greatly. We hope that you come back and see our hotel once these renovations are completed, and we wow you with our hotel, and service.

Good Morning.We are sorry to see that you visit here did not meet all of you expections. Unfortunetely, you came when we had a plumbing issue in our central heating system, and parts had to be ordered to repair it. The good news is that all of the rooms have individual PTAC's that do not need the central heating system to maintain the desired temperature, so your room itself is always compfortable. The issue in the basement has been fixed, and the hallways are at a comfortable temperature now. We hope that you come back again soon, and are impressed by our property.

Very good experience with this overnight stay. We travel quite often to this area and we have decided to try the BW Durham. We had a good night sleep and it was not crowded in the morning for breakfast compared to another hotel in the same area.

It is obviously either being used as a homeless shelter or safe use centre. I didn’t read that in the fine print.
Upon arrival with my family there was someone clearly on drugs in the hall way and people smoking crack outside of our vehicle. I did NOT feel comfortable being alone or to leave my kids alone.
The building is rundown, water damage on ceiling and walls being poorly covered by paint and wallpaper.

We liked the convenience to our event (9 min drive) and the staff friendliness; however, the coffee maker in the room needs cleaning (coffee tasted off), the ironing board was broken so we could not fold it up, and the breakfast did not offer any alternative dairy options for coffee/tea. Also, the beds were uncomfortable.
