“Highly recommended!”

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was updated and clean (foyer, hallways, elevator, pool/spa areas and room!) I really was not expecting it to be as nice as it was. Our room was very well equipped, even dish detergent! The lotions and soaps were Bath and Body Works - women love that!! I had a glass break later in the evening, the maintenance and housekeeping staff had left, but the receptionist closed the desk and came to help me locate a vacume cleaner. I was very impressed with that (and she was nice about it!). Breakfast was nice - nothing huge - but nice. All balconies overlook the ocean and it was beautiful. The hotel seemed very safe, quiet and family friendly. The price was reasonable and we would definitely stay here again. One suggestion - Parking pass (for 2nd vehicle) to park at the deck across the street would be an added plus. We had to pay for 2nd car.

“Great Place to Stay”

We just got back from staying at this hotel in Virginia Beach. I have to say that it was very nice. The set up of the suite was nice. The bed was pretty comfy with plenty of pillows.Water pressure in the shower was good, plenty of nice thick towels. The a/c unit made a lot of noise though..woke me up in the middle of the night and the fridge froze all of my food. The continental breakfast wasn't very good. Sugary cereals, donuts and pastries mostly. The view was beautiful and it was pretty centrally located. Had to park across the street most of the time though, not much parking in the lot in front. Walked to most restaurants..Mahi Mahi, Il Giardino, Waterman's. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Would definitely go back.

“Nice afforable hotel”

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days. Check in and check out took a matter of minutes. Room was spacious and clean. There was some trash behind the head of the pullout couch which wasnt seen until you pulled out the couch. The mattress on the couch was dirty. I requested a mattress cover and clean linens and housekeeping delivered them in a matter if minutes. Staff was extremely friendly and beach access was convenient. Continental breakfast was O.k. THEY could include more fresh fruit. I would stay again. It was very affodable.

“very very nice”

rooms were great spacious and a great of the Atlantic Ocean from the balcony. We were impressed with the kitchen facilities. we liked large indoor pool and the fitness center. We enjoyed complimentary breakfast also.

“Great hotel for the price”

Just got back from vacation 2 weeks ago. We stayed at the Barclay and were very satisfied. The hotel was great for the price. It is right on the boardwalk and you can pretty much walk to any restaurant or shop. My kids especially loved the indoor pool, and we loved being able to sit out on the balcony and watch the tide roll in. The room was very clean, and the kitchen allowed for us to cook our own meals and save some money. Would definitely stay again and recommend Barclay Towers to others.

“Extremely Satisfied”

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. It is dated, but very clean and there were obvious attempts at updating the place. There was even a complimentary breakfast. Very family friendly.

“Great Hotel on VA Beach!!! Will Return”

My husband and I stayed at The Barclay Towers right on VA beach. Every room has a balcony overlooking the beach,a seperate bedroom and either a kitchen or kitchenette. This room was great for us because we enjoy cooking in the room..its a small stovetop but it did the job! The staff was soooo nice! I have a latex allergy and the cleaning staff as well as the continental breakfast staff was very accomodating! The girls at the front desk were courteous and fun to talk to. The pool is indoor and nice as well as the jacuzzi!! steam room and sauna are also there. I would definitely stay again. The rates were very reasonable. There are fancier hotels on the strip but barclay gives you everything you need for a great price!

Barclay Towers offers a prime location at sub-prime rates. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Every room has an ocean-view. A family-friendly and safe hotel in V.B.

“See humpback whales from the balcony...”

The rooms were large and clean and the hotel staff was very accommodating to our rather large group of middle school students. With 32 in a group it is sometimes hard to make all happy. There were no complaints as to the accommodations. We were close (walking distance) to our areas of interest and were surprised to find whale watching was only a step away...on our balconies! A humpback whale gave us a 30 minute free show and we didn't even have to leave our room. What a treat! We sure didn't find that listed in the hotels accommodations!!!

“Great Hotel! Will definitely go back!”

This hotel was great. I wasn't sure from some of the other reviews that i read. It was a little dated but wasn't in bad shape. We stayed comfortably with my husband and I and our 2 boys. I loved the 2 rooms. it was spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. I wasn't sure what to expect for cookware, but they had a pot of every size and a cookie sheet pan. I was very pleased! Hotel was right on the beach which was very nice. Pool was nice very warm! Hotel staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back to this hotel! Thanks Barclay towers for a great week!
