Salem State University The Brotherhood Retreat
I booked a weekend stay on behalf of The Brotherhood: Men of Color Success Initiative at Salem State University. Samantha was a fantastic host from an organizing perspective. She was communicative, transparent, and answered my questions efficiently and effectively. She even refunded us for refilling the propane tank for the gas grill. Here is a review from The Brotherhood advisor, who stayed on the property with our students: "Sam—Thank you for sharing your beautiful Newbury, NH property with the SSU Brotherhood program. We had a fantastic time during our stay. The views and scenery are breathtaking and inspiring. Our students enjoyed every single moment while chilling and playing in the backyard. Sam is a fantastic host, very kind/attentive, and ready to answer any questions. The property was that and more of what we expected. Wedding Weekend
We stayed here for our wedding weekend with our wedding party and close friends! We had the best time and enjoyed the games, the backyard, and made memories to last a lifetime! We hope to come back for our 5 year anniversary!

Sunapee home
This was a beautiful spacious house with common areas that had ample room for everyone. The dining table could seat 12 which was important to us. There is a game room and hot tub on the lower level which the teenagers enjoyed. For summer rentals, there are lovely outdoor spaces. There is one bedroom on the first floor which could be important to some groups. It is very close to Sunapee for hiking and skiing. The only problems we had were with the heat and hot water which I attribute to the property being a new rental. The owner was extremely responsive when we had a problem.
