“New York 2011”
Hotel was very nice. The rooms very a little small which we knew before we got there but we were not in the room except to sleep so that was no big deal. The hotel has a wonderful location in the theater district and being so close to Time Square.
“TKChef”
1st Class all around at a GREAT rate. Front desk staff was exceptional. Bravo
“Pleasantly surprised”
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel considering the very reasonable price.
“An Old Paramount Customer Returns....”
Wel, its not the old, hip Paramount of the Nineties, but it is a very adequate comfortable convenient experience. The cute doormen dressed identically are gone, the roses in the window were incomplete, and the elevators are no longer oozing florescent color. The rooms have been redone and the Starckian flourishes are gone, for the most part. Remnants remain - the sink was still a lovely inverted cone of bright chrome, but the printed headboards are, sadly, gone. Also gone was the solicitation for their much loved Continental breakfast. But the price was very right, and I was immediately upgraded at no charge. The desk clerk welcomed me back and chatted about what the hotel used to look like. There is an excellent NY pizzeria right next door (Patzerria), and the new flatscreen TV worked fine along. Coupled with a comfortable bed and adequate linens it was a good experience, and I would return, happily.
“Location”
Older hotel but excellent location!
“Happy Honeymooners”
The decore was updated and swanky - loved it. Though the rooms were small, that is typical for NYC. Aside from that, the bed was comfortable and we were satisfied with housekeeping. We used the Fitness Center everyday we were there and it was up to snuff. The location was ideal and would definitely stay there again.
“Perfect Location!”
This is a great Hotel! I loved the lobby area and the location of the hotel. It is 1block away from TimeSquare and is on the same block of about 20 to 30 different restaurants. The bar is pretty pricy (2 drinks will cost you $36), but there is a convenient store a block away so we bought liquor from there and made our own mixed drinks in our room. The rooms are small, but very clean and modern. If this is your first time going to NY, I recommend you going on a tour bus (a tour info place is about 2 blocks away from this hotel) we took the gray line bus. The buses are located on 47th and 7th street. It is around $44 a person, but it is for the entire day and you can get on and off of the bus as you please. We saw 1/2 of NY in one day thanks to these buses. Can't wait to go back!!
“Great location”
The room was small, but managable. It isn't big enough to spend significant time in, but the location is excellent if you are going to Time Square. It looks great and made good use of the limited space.
“thoroughly enjoyed stay”
Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very nice, first room was really small. My wife talked with desk and they upgraded us the next night to a larger room. Still a little close but comfortable and clean. Would recommend to my friends. Can't beat the location!
“What we expected”
We based our selection of the Paramount on proximity to Times Square and price. We knew from reading everyone's reviews in advance that the rooms would be tiny and they were. Still, we were in town to see NYC and NOT hang out in a room :-) Our room was clean. The concierge, front desk staff, and valets were all friendly. No complaints.
