Booked the property and wasn’t able to visit for the day I booked. I was not able to get my money back. Extremely disappointed with the customer service of the hotel and Expedia.
Terrible overall. We had no shower curtain and the shower faucet was broken. It was way too small. You asked for anything; they don’t have it. 1 key per room cause they don’t have anymore. I had 3 relatives with me. No extra blankets or pillows cause they don’t have any. But somehow I had to pay an extra $38 fee per room and they still don’t have enough basics.whats going over there?
One of the worst experiences I have ever had in any hotel anywhere. Wildly overpriced for what amounted to the equivalent of a youth hostel room. Filthy windows, non working television, dirty carpeting and walls. All for the bargain price of close to $1000 for 2 nights.
This was the worst stay I have ever had. First the room smelling like cigarettes and air freshener I can totally deal with, but the bed had ether bed bugs or body lic,I woke up feeling some thing crawling all over my body. I made the mistake of taking my clothes off in my house whe I got home now I have to pay to wash all of my close in the house and pay for an exterminator. Never stay hear and at all cost stay away from room 703... Nasty Nasty Nasty.
The Cleanliness stood out as we went to our room.
The ladies that tended to us were all cordial, even when we discussed issues with the room.
The room was substandard and should not be a rentable space. The shower fixture came off as I went to shower. There was nowhere to sit in the room. That room should be a relief room for staff, not a space to be charged for. It was patched up in places and there was bird poop outside the window. Management did respond accordingly and did make an agreement that I hope they will honor. We were not given another room, although we waited hours for the possibility of change.
The location is incredible. Extremely close proximity to Central Park and food/shops. The hotel appears to be an old residential building that was converted to be a hotel. Besides being small and old (normal for NYC), we had to be moved from one room to another as two windows in our room were stuck open causing traffic noises to enter the room at all hours. One window was partially taped with painters tape. The drywall was peeling in many places in the bathroom. Rust/grime in the bathtub, stains on carpet and walls and the elevator got stuck shortly after we made it to our 7th floor room with a pregnant wife. Staff were helpful and allowed us to shorten our stay by one night and moved us to a different room on the fourth floor. If you only care about location this is great. If cleanliness and comfort matter, please beware. Our second room was a small improvement, but still had a hole in the drywall in the bathroom and possible mold on the bathroom ceiling. Wouldn’t mind a refund….
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but that might be expected for New York. It was my first time there, so I’m not quite sure. I like the location. It was close to two subway stops and Central Park and the natural history Museum.
Multiple hairs in bed. Mold on walls. Holes in walls. Genuinely grimy feel all around. Room keys kept deactivating. Faulty door. Lobby was incredibly hot and stuffy. Busy elevator. Clogged toilet.
One tiny elevator that only seemed to work part time. Supposed to get housekeeping after 3 days, we never did. No fan in bathroom, only 1 lamp, everything else was a harsh overhead light.
Great hotel and definitely a bang for your buck! Incredible location, very friendly staff, fancy-feeling rooms, and delivered much more than promised or expected. My only reservations are the elevator and the infrequency of cleaning services over a 5-6 day visit. Otherwise, fantastic.
Location is great! Front desk staff were hit and miss. One member was great, so friendly and helpful, others didn't even look up from their phone when we arrived. I was not impressed being charged an extra "property charge" on top of what we already paid when we arrived without expecting it. Included breakfast was good. We had a queen room, it was tiny but quiet bed was comfortable. Small things in poor condition in the room. Overall stay was ok but if we return to NYC we will be looking to stay elsewhere
The staff were great. Extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent and standard free breakfast with eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meat in addition to cereals and bagels. The location is fantastic and only 1/2 block to Central Park. The room was very run down and small. Smaller than I expected for even NYC. The sink in the bathroom was loose and clearly had fallen off wall at one point and the just calked around wall and didn’t firmly attach. Also the facet in the shower was also very loose and not attached to the wall. The door to the room was a hollow core door and was extremely flimsy. If you leaned hard on it, it would flex and almost open. Many of the electrical outlets did not have their covers firmly attached. Finally we did find a random hair on a pillow case when we 1st came in the room. We probably won’t be going back due to the condition of rooms but again, staff were really friendly and helpful and location is great.

This hotel was in a great area if you don't want the hussle of Manhattan. Close to Central Park (a few minute walk) and about 10 minutes from Hudson River in neighborhood with lots of eating options. Close to multiple subways to get to other parts of town. No fancy views but just a clean place with a good bed to catch sleep for the next day of adventures.
The room was tiny and uncomfortable. Very loud and sounded like something in the wall all night. Staff was always nice and welcoming.

I've stayed at this hotel many times. Staff is always helpful and attentive. Seldom seem to stay more than a few months.
It suggests management problems or maybe poor treatment of staff. I don't know.
There is a value to seeing the same staff that get to know you and it's a welcome feeling.
The shower is way too small the water couldn't go below my neck & im 5'9, bed is soft & makes noise, pillows are way too soft but the room was clean, staff was & location was great, so i got what I paid for, could've been better but i was satisfied
Brown water came out of my shower. Secondly this hotel decided to run my card after checking out 5 times which they were over charging me. I usually never had a problem nor do I like to give bad reviews but this just through me off.
Great location and nice staff. The rooms are small but you don’t need much in this big city! Great value and so close to restaurants and things to do. Loved how close we were to Central Park.
We needed to stay on the Upper West Side, La Quinta Inn was the perfect location. Close to the subways, Central Park, and lots of restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was great and the breakfast buffet was very good. The room was very small, but it served our needs so we were happy.

Rooms were super small. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice.
The staff are friendly and courteous. It’s in a convenient and pretty location next to Central Park. There are good cafes and places to eat within walking distance. The subway is a short, pleasant 2 block walk. Just one heads up, the elevator is slow. I was on the 14th floor. And sometimes it was quicker to walk down all the stairs than to wait for it. It’s a great stay and best part: It’s quiet BIG PLUS for a hotel in New York City.
The room was very great size, the staff were amazing, everything was perfect but the bathrooms. The bathrooms need to be renovated. But besides that this hotel was perfect!!
