“Nara Hotel”
Great old hotel - very cool.
“Hôtel Nara à Nara : le charme de l'histoire et la proximité du parc aux daims et des temples majeurs”
C'est un ancien hôtel tout en bois (il est d'ailleurs interdit de fumer dans la partie ancienne). Le confort est parfait. Notre chambre avait même une cheminée. En général au Japon les standards d'hygiène et de propreté des hôtels sont bien supérieurs à ce que l'on trouve en Europe. On peut aller à pied dans la zone touristique du parc aux daims et des principaux temples (Todai-Ji etc.) Beaucoup d'histoire et de charme, même le piano sur lequel Einstein a joué dans les années 30 (photo à l'appui !)
“Classy Nara Hotel”
Great location for sightseeing in Nara, everything but the train station within easy walking distance. The Hotel had an excellent but somewhat pricey restaurant, and the rooms in the "old" part of the hotel are small but well appointed with high ceilings. Our daughter had a room in the new wing, and while the rooms there are well done, not much to distinguish it from any other modern deluxe hotel.
“Nagoya well worth visiting”
Booked this as a post holiday, pre conference place to stop but were so pleasantly surprised. About 2 mins walk from main Nagoya station but cleverly secluded and quiet. Service friendly, rooms clean and comfortable, good breakfasts with a choice of Japanese and Western food.

My wife and I stayed at the Nara Hotel for one week while attending a conference in Nara. The hotel is extremely nice and I highly recommend it. We stayed in the older section. The only things that could have been nicer were having larger and softer beds (we had two single beds in our room). If you are a coffee addict like me, take your own for those mornings when you wake up early from jet-lag. The hotel doesn't serve coffee until 7 AM.

The Nara Hotel is ideally located, close to the park and old town, and very stylish.
“Very comfortable stay in Nara”
I was delighted with this choice of hotel in Nara. It's western style, but with a Japanese flavour. An old-style but well-maintained largish hotel with excellent service and both western and Japanese food available. For British readers, it's rather reminiscent of an old seaside Grand Hotel. There is a very good buffet breakfast. The room was large, with a comfortable bed. It's located on the margin between the busy part of town round the stations and the park in which all the temples are located, and is an easy walk in either direction. Definitely recommended.

“Elegant Nara Hotel”
Nara Hotel is a beautiful, carefully maintained classic.The staff were comfortable with English speaking guests. Our room in the old wing of the hotel was lovely with high ceilings, vintage light fixtures, immaculate pale walls with dark wood trim. New furnishings mixed with classic details, flatscreen TV alongside the radiator, ukata as well as bathrobes and slippers. We had plenty of room to open suitcases and relax on the chaise. Large windows provided a view of the leafy green park. The hotel is on a small hill above the main road and seemed well isolated from traffic noise. A LAN cable was provided for free internet access. The main sights within Nara park are within walking distance as well as shopping streets and restaurants.
