Superb hotel
The hotel was great and the staff were wonderful. Being able to leave our bags before check-in was so helpful and we loved the chocolate treats at the door in the morning. Fabulous location!

Lovely night.
Very nice, warm, modern hotel. Friendly staff and strict covid guidelines. Location is very central. The room is compact but clean and modern with A/C.

Hotel Perfection!
Loved the location! We booked the suite which was a great value. The hotel is modern, bright and welcoming with its mid century decor. Our suite was enormous with a large and quiet balcony. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with all the amenities. The included breakfast very special with incredible choices and wonderfully set up. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our experience at the Stadhotel and recommend it to all travelers.

The Stadhotel Munster is close to the old section of the city, within very easy walking distance to the Domplatz, the University, and the old churches in the heart of Munster.

OK, but quite some room for improvement
Generally a nice hotel and a number of things, such as the bathroom, have been renovated recently. However, carpets looked rather old and dirty, not making this a 5* review. Also, while the hotel provides a small gym, it is limited to a bicycle and a stepper. This was disappointing.

A nice place to stay in Munster
This is a very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Everyone spoke English that I interacted with. The hotel is conveniently located near the Aasee, downtown and many shops and nice places to walk. Really the only complaint I have about this hotel is the breakfast costs 16 Euros a day. It is a very nice breakfast with many options to choose from, but it is not worth 16 Euros. I think 10 Euros would be a fair price.

Center of Town Pleaser!
Hotel is in a great location, just a few blocks from the downtown and the Lake. If you don't desire the buffet breakfast, the bakery/cafe just down the street serves great food for a reasonable price--roisinbrotchen and cranberry quark brotchen is a must! The rooms are very small but I expect this in Europe anyway. There's also a fitness center but a walk around town and to the lake nearby is a lot better way to exercise in my opinion. The staff are very friendly too.

Excellent location and quiet.
Checking in was easy and pleasant. Staff were efficient and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the contemporary art museum so well placed to access the Sculpture Project.

Munster Visit, Just slept here
Hotel room was exceedingly small but clean and efficient. Shower-great, beds ok, I do not believe they had air conditioning but did not need it. Room was over the entrance so it was a bit noisy. If you have a car just pull in front of the hotel, the sign says do not enter, I believe it was one way in the wrong direction. Ignore the sign drive forward and park in the underground garage just past the entrance and left. They will give you a pass when you register. All in all absolutely no complaints. OK for Munster, not great for Berlin or Hamburg.

OK hotel in the centre of Münster
if you look for an OK hotel for a two day solo business trip in the centre of Münster then this is the hotel for you. It is in the centre, and next to a parking garage (13 Euro / day). Despite requesting a quiet room with a queen bed we got a room on the first floor with the bed composed of two single beds (which moved away during the night) So if you come with your partner and look for a somewhat more comfortable stay you might want to look somewhere else (or go for a bigger room - the "M" category is not really spacious and check what you get before agreeing the room).

StadHotel Muenster
The hotel was very comfortable. The rooms are not large (typical German size), but were very clean and comfortable. The location is a reasonable walk from the train station (about 700-800 meters along the promenade, I made it twice), and is close to the Cathedral, lake and other sites. There are a few bars and restaurants nearby. A bakery and grocery store are located across the street. Wireless access is complimentary and fairly reliable. The hotel restaurant features the typical German buffet breakfast (which is included with the room), and is of high quality (better than the other two hotel breakfasts I had on the trip). Services (getting a taxi etc.) were easily accessed and reliable. Overall I was very happy with the Stadhotel, I would visit again. I only visited the hotel restaurant once outside of breakfast, which lead to a surprising miscommunication (I don't speak German and had to get help translating the menu). I was looking for a light meal, and ordered something described by the waitress as an 'appetizer.' What arrived was the equivalent of a 1/2 pound double bacon cheese burger (with fried pork steak, cheese and mushroom). It was super tasty, but much larger than I was expecting. Humorously so, the thing was the size of my head. Appetizer indeed.

Tolle Lage, tolles Hotel
Für einen Kurz-Trip nach Münster ist dieses Hotel perfekt. Gute Lage inkl. Parkmöglichkeit, schöne Räume, guter Service und umfangreiches Frühstückbuffet. Optional auf die Zimmerreinigung zu verzichten und stattdessen einen Baum pflanzen zu lassen, bietet sich gerade bei einem Kurzaufenthalt an. Eine tolle Idee!

Münsteria tutkimassa.
Yksi yö ja kaksi päivää Münsterissä. Hieno historiallinen kaupunki ja tämä hotelli aivan sen sydämessä. Siisti ja moderni ja todella runsas aamiainen. Yliopistokaupungissa paljon nuoria - ja polkupyöriä!

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Unweit vom Bahnhof und der Innenstadt. Die Zimmer waren modern und sauber. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und beim Frühstücksbuffet. Das Frühstück ist sehr abwechslungsreich. Mit vielen Bio-Produkten und auch etwas für Veganer. Es war ein rundum schönes Wochenende in einer tollen Stadt und ich komme gern wieder.

Zweckmäßig mit wenig Herzlichkeit.
Die Rezeption war sehr bestimmt, nicht unfreundlich, aber auch nicht freundlich. Alles bei diesem Aufenthalt war neutral. Keine Herzlichkeit, sondern professionell aufgesetzte bestimmende Höflichkeit. Für Münster eher untypisch, da die Menschen dort eigentlich recht herzlich sind und vom Herzen her freundlich sind. Das Hotel ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde mir tatsächlich ein Kleiderschrank fehlen. Meine Sachen frei an die Decke zu hängen ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Zimmer strahlte und hatte auch keinerlei Gemütlichkeit an sich.

Es tut mir leid, dass Sie Ihren Aufenthalt als zu neutral und wenig herzlich empfunden haben und damit nicht zufrieden waren. Ich werde Ihre Worte zum Anlass nehmen hier das Gespräch mit den Mitarbeitern zu suchen und sie darauf hinweisen. Manchmal braucht es einen kleinen Anstupser :) Wie schon geschrieben, wenn Sie es so empfunden haben, tut es mir leid und ich verstehe, dass dies dann wenig zufriedenstellend ist. Vielleicht haben unsere Mitarbeiter hier mal einen schlechten Tag gehabt - das ist menschlich und will ich gar nicht ausschließen. Doch normalerweise kenne ich unsere Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption als freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Schade, dass Sie dies nicht so erleben konnten. Bezüglich der Zimmerausstattung verstehe ich, dass Ihnen für einen längeren ein Kleiderschrank fehlt und Sie mit der Schranklösung nicht zufrieden wären. In den Zimmerkategorien Economy und Business finden Sie dies so vor, die tatsächlich auch nur für Kurzaufenthalte gedacht sind. Ab der Zimmerkategorie Comfort sind die Zimmer größer und haben eine andere Ausstattung, zum Beispiel einen Kleiderschrank. Bei telefonischen Reservierungsanfragen können wir hierzu beraten und Empfehlungen aussprechen. Das Design der Zimmer ist natürlich Geschmackssache - der eine mag es, bei dem anderen trifft es leider nicht den Geschmack. Wir bekommen hierzu viel positives Feedback aber das ist natürlich subjektive Wahrnehmung und jeder entscheidet selbst, was ihm gefällt.
