Great location for walking around the old city. Minutes from Marienplatz and the market. There is a bar in the hotel that had a dj playing loud music on Saturday night. We could hear the bass from our room which was on the same floor (5). We could also hear some street noise with the windows closed. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Overall a very cute property that is located just steps from great restaurants and shopping. The rooms are modern, clean and well laid out and everything works. Criticism is the Friday night noise from the nightclub upstairs (not terrible, but notable) and most notably the failure of the hotel/concierge ( a WhatsApp service) to respond in most circumstances.

We loved our stay at Hais Im Tal! It was located close to everything we wanted to see and in a safe accessible area. The staff were excellent and accommodating. A big plus was the bar/restaurant on the top floor. We would recommend this place to all.

Great area, lots of restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and bars near by. Short walk to the Munich cathedral. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Beds are on platforms about a foot from the floor so that’s a little tricky.

Chose hotel to be in old town Munich near food and shopping. Hotel modern sparse decor, to my taste, but lots of space could have used more seating or clothing storage in room. Older ladies in our party had rooms with sitting area and pull out bed, they also wanted more clothing storage. Neighboring room balconies only separated by a planter and trellis, felt a bit unsafe. Also cigarette butts on balcony every day, we don’t smoke. not a great view but great location and nice roof deck. Bathroom was big with great walk in shower - could have used more counter space. Towels replaced daily, there were no washcloths - but we expected this for Europe and brought our own. My mon found them at the lobby bathroom offered as hand towels. The rooms were tidied daily - but were a bit dusty. Sheets were not changed - despite makeup soiled pillow cases. Cleaning staff spoke no english - but did get supervisor to assist when my Mom tried to point out areas needing cleaning. Very helpful. Lobby on 5th floor - 2 elevators. Staff was helpful with our party’s excess luggage - storing and taking to the room. The coffee was good in the lobby, great cocktail bar, the food at breakfast was limited but good. There was little other food options in the hotel - although the staff did deliver spaghetti from unexpected ‘spaghetti disco’ event in the lobby. Water in room daily. Nespresso pod machines installed our last day there. Staff was stellar, they made the stay amazing. Would definitely return.

Great location
This hotel is in a great location. The Marienplatz is about a 3-minute walk. Two underground stations are 3-5 minutes away depending on which way you turn. A grocery store is a 1-minute walk across the street. Overall, the hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. Would highly recommend. The only thing I struggled with was the shower, but that is nothing I would lower a score for. If you turn the shower on and the handheld sprayer is positioned wrong, you can easily shoot water all over the bathroom because it is not enclosed all the way and there is no strip on floor to hold water into shower area.

Great location, staff, and service.
Loved the service. They cleaned our room everyday. Staff checked us in early so we could get into our rooms. The only negative was that they had a bar/party every night on the fifth floor (though it ended promptly at 10:30 or 11:00). So you could hear the beat of the music. Location was amazing! easy walk (minutes) to ubonn and marienplatz. Also liked that there was a grocery store and pharmacy right across the street. Lots of restaurants and stores in the immediate area. The room was dark, I wish they would have painted it a lighter color then dark purple. Our Bathroom was very clean and big with big fluffy towels. We had three rooms, (family of five) one of the bathrooms was on the small side but adequate. Bring your own washcloths, not provided.

The only good thing about this property was its location..the room was smelly and to me was like a hostel than hotel..it didn’t have any coffeemaker or fridge and the bed was so uncomfortable.

This was a fantastic property - we booked two rooms for our family and stayed a week. The services kept the room clean with towels and linens, and our turn-down service included a Negroni for two. The property is conveniently located in the heart of Munich, with easy access to food, the subway, shops, and museums - all within walking distance. Also, was a great place to serve as a home base for our explorations in Bavaria. We arrived before check-in from the airport, the staff stored our bags, and we marched off to the Hofbrau Haus to enjoy our first liter (of many). The hotel sports a chic rooftop terrace with house music and a local club vibe in the evening - great for a beverage! There were too many local breakfast options within walking distance, and we preferred Bistro Dallmayr. Overall, the property contributed to our positive feelings about our stay in Bavaria! The only negative was a lack of a shower door in the bathroom; as a result, we regularly created puddles - however, they were not a real concern.

Starting with check in, reception is on the top floor so they have to buzz you up, but it was very quick. Check in was fast also. Halls are carpeted which was a bit weird to me. However, the room made up for that. Hardwood floors. Very spacious. Bathroom also spacious. Clean. Bed comfortable. Nice balcony. We had a room with a king bed and a sofa. Very minimalistic design if you're into that. Good water pressure in shower. Breakfast and bar are also on top floor. Very nice room. Breakfast was typical german breakfast of sandwiches, yogurt, etc and delicious coffee. Location of this hotel is ideal. Very short walk to the marientplatz. We would stay here again for sure!

The hallway carpets are not very clean. The rooms are very dark. The walls are painted dark or have dark coverings. The hotel is very conveniently located close to old downtown and make it very walkable. The lounge upstairs became a disco with very loud base dance music that was crowded with young people. Hard to sleep with that going on. When I opened the front door about 20 young people rushed in behind me and were obviously going upstairs. We thought we would go upstairs for a cocktail but it was full of young people and loud dance music. So probably good for young people but not older guests.

Modern, chic hotel that is an easy walking distance to the many attractions near Marienplatz in the heart of Munich. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to our family. Stayed two nights with a family of four. Would definitely stay here again.

let me start by saying that my wife and I are 70, and Haus Im Tal seems to cater to a much younger group of people. However, we had a very nice stay, in a very quiet room - just ask for a room off the street. The breakfast choices are okay, but what they do have is very good. The staff were more than courteous and helpful, and the location is absolutely perfect. We'll be happy to stay there again.

I’m not one to leave a review but these guys deserve it. The place far exceeded my expectations. Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Munich. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit.

A minimalist property. Like staying in a convent. Rooms had no color. One framed picture in the apartment we rented. Buffet was expensive for the choices offered. No available coffee or milk. It was brought to the table. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property is very close to the Marienplatz, which is a benefit.

Cute boutique in the heart of Munich. Intimate bar with a great quiet nightlife in the evening, perfect for a nightcap. Room was clean, simple and all that was needed for our quick 2 day Oktoberfest adventure

Deceiving prices quoted. Beware!
Hotel itself was good and clean. However, when we checked we were told that breakfast is 8 euros per person. On check out, a different staff charged us 22 euros per person

pros: location. staff is very friendly. cons: avoid front rooms as they are very noisy. rooms are very dark. hard to pull luggage on carpet on corridors. prepare to have late service housekeeping.

It was a very beautiful, secure, clean hotel situated perfectly in Old Town Munich. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Shopping, restaurants, history and culture. It was truly perfect.
