Great stay for large groups
Thanks so much for a great stay. This is such a wonderful place for large groups! Nice hikes in the area too, which we took advantage of. Kitchen and bar area was especially good for cooking and eating for 30+ people!

A great place to get away
The perfect place to relax! We had such a great time here, hanging out in the family room downstairs, cooking together in the kitchen, and relaxing in the hot tub. The house was well described, the host was friendly and reponded to all of our questions quickly. Definitely on our list of places to stay again!

Great Property, we had a great time for New Years weekend. plenty to do outside with family and friends. Hot tub is great. Inside plenty of space in the kitchen area and the bar area downstairs was a big hit. Thanks

Hosted with 24 people it was a good property, only 3 bathrooms, would recommend booking the extra buildings with a larger group.

Amazing house
I recently stayed here for a weekend with a group of 26 friends and everything could not have been better. The pictures don’t do the house justice, it is even nicer in person and has more than enough spots for sleeping. The bar in the downstairs area is amazing and is a great spot for everybody to hang out. Not to mention Shira was very helpful with any questions I had including during the weekend of the stay. would 100% stay here again if I ever find myself in the area in the future.

Great house for a big group!
We were a party of 24 and the house was still big enough for us. We really enjoyed our staycation. The kitchen had 3 sinks and it was well equipped and was big enough to prepare food for everybody. The pool was clean and huge and the hot ub was perfect for night time. Shira, the host, was very responsive and very accommodating. Thank you once again for letting us stay in your gorgeous house.

Fairytale Wedding Location with Friends and Family
I cannot express how perfect our stay was here. We had a small intimate wedding for our closest friends and family, and here there was not only enough room for everyone to stay, but also the woods behind the house were the perfect location for our little ceremony. Shira was so kind and accommodating with any needs we had, and even left these adorable "Mr. & Mrs." signs at the house... I could keep going on. But if you're looking for somewhere to have a great time with friends and family in the mountains for a weekend, I can't recommend here enough.

A Perfect Family Getaway!
We were a family of 14 adults and 14 children. Southwoods Estates had absolutely everything we needed. The pool is large enough for a refreshing swim for adults, and just perfect for the kids. The hot tub also got rave reviews. The huge deck accommodated us all comfortably. There's so much to do right on the grounds that we didn't have to go anywhere, and there's plenty of space indoors as well. Everything was spotless, the beds were cozy and the "royal master suite" was pleasantly over-the-top. Last but not least, for any family requiring kosher kitchen amenities, the kosher pantry is perfect and the location is near everything you need, but feels light-years away when you turn down the private driveway to this secluded estate. I hope we'll be back next summer!

Great location; property needs attention
Wonderful location with great potential. The house has tons of space and parking for even a very large group; the deck / hot tub / outdoor fireplace provides a terrific gathering area; there is a lot to do in the area (we took a hike to Mullet Brook Falls and it is *gorgeous*). The large dining room table seats 12 people or so, and the kitchen is big enough to feed everyone. However, for the price, we were expecting a turnkey, well maintained and stocked home. The reason for my lower rating is that there were more than a few cleaning and maintenance issues (examples -- towels/sheets/dishes aren't fully clean, sticky floors, no top sheets on beds, temporary blinds, broken door to porch, pool was green with algae upon our arrival). The owner is very responsive and I believe all of these issues can readily be resolved (we shared extensive details), so hopefully future guests won't experience the same problems.

Stayed here with a group of 20 and it was the best time. Fire pit, pool, hot tub, big back yard and more. It was an awesome time and the host (Shira) was very quick to reply to any questions or help. Great trip and stay overall.

Awesome golf trip at beautiful estate
Our golf trip to Southwoods Mountain Vacation was an absolute paradise! The estate provided luxurious accommodations for our group of 13, with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. The amenities were incredible, we loved the full bar and game room. The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions. The host's communication and support were exceptional. We highly recommend this estate for any size get together.

Good Getaway retreat

I had an amazing time with all my friends and loved ones at this property, we drank and sang and partied in the secluded, open property that Shira provides. The highlight was the bar and atmosphere of the down stairs and the big hot tub.

Fantastic time
My friends and I needed a big house for a personal celebration and this place was perfect. From the HUGE bar in the basement to the hot tub and fire places, this place had everything you could possibly need. Working with the property manager was seamless and we had an amazing weekend!

We did a men’s retreat for our church and it was our first time using a VRBO rental. The house and host were great. All of the amenities were clean and the house was spacious. Our host was responsive to our questions. Overall, a great first experience!

Incredible stay!
We had a college reunion with 20 of my friends and we could not have found a spot better than this because it was so comfortable, spacious and had tons of fun activities (e.g., pool, hot tub). Further, the Shira was incredible!

Spectacular MUST STAY!!
I rented this property for my graduation celebration and for my brothers birthday and I must say we were all soo amazingly pleased with our stay! There was more then plenty of beds and space for everyone, the kitchen was absolutely beautiful, plenty of activities to do on the property to keep everyone busy and happy! Definitely one of my best stays on Vrbo! If your looking for an amazing stay this is the one you want too rent! You will not be disappointed!!! Presidents Week mini vacation
My husband and I , our adult children with spouses and our seven grandchildren had a wonderful three night stay at the Southwoods Estate. There was plenty of room for the fifteen of us , the home was clean , the bathrooms were equipped with plenty of towels. The large dining table and the breakfast bar provided enough seating for meals and the coffee bar with hot cocoa too was a treat. The indoor water park is just a few minutes away and a big hit with kids of all ages. We enjoyed walking on the property trails and there was a bit of snow left on our first day for the kids to use the sleds. Our host was easy to work with and responded quickly to questions . We used the fireplace on the deck one evening and enjoyed what was a lovely February evening. Southwoods Estate is a great place for a family or large group and yes we did enjoy our chats at the bar in the downstairs family room !!!

Great Getaway location
Great secluded location only 1.5hrs from NYC, with plenty of space indoor & outdoor. we were 8 of us & we never felt on top of one another. All the rooms & amenities are as described & the bar/pool/movie room is so cozy, you'll want to spend a lot of time there. The hot tub was also a hit! Shira was very reactive & very helpful along the way. One thing to consider if you plan on cooking is to bring baking dishes & do not forget your spices as well, but even if you do, shops are only 10 mins away.

Gorgeous getaway with great potential
House is as advertised and honestly it's even nicer in person than in the pictures! Shira was an amazing host with prompt feedback and willingness to assist as needed. The property itself is in a great location but could use some TLC to really make it an oasis.
