Misty Fjords National Monument Wilderness is part of the Tongass National Forest and known for its remarkable glacial lakes and natural rock formations. The Misty Fjords National Monument comprises about 2.3 million acres (0.9 million hectares) of designated wilderness area. This national monument has many brown bears, black bears, mountain goats and deer. Watch for marine life, including whales, seals and many species of salmon.

Book a multi-day kayaking, camping and hiking expedition through the national monument wilderness. These packages are suitable for visitors over age 12 with good physical health and an adventurous spirit. Kayak around Point Eva and take in the spectacular views of Rudyerd Bay. Notice the 3,000-foot (900-meter) rock wall at Punchbowl Cove, as one of the national monument’s most remarkable features.
